Springfield, Ohio, is at the center of the conversation about the disastrous consequences of Democrats’ open borders agenda.

The media is trying to whitewash what’s happening in the city.

And Springfield residents gave one scary message to Donald Trump about their town.

Donald Trump and J.D. Vance put Springfield in the national spotlight

Democrats’ open borders agenda is a serious political vulnerability for Vice President Kamala Harris.

The national political discussion being centered around it is a losing issue for her.

Former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), brought attention to the plight of Springfield, Ohio.

The city of less than 60,000 had nearly 20,000 Haitian nationals dumped there that the Biden-Harris regime illegally paroled and granted “temporary protective status.”

Trump and Vance spotlighted that Springfield residents have complained about Haitians eating cats, dogs, geese, and ducks.

But the problems that Kamala’s newcomers are causing for the city go far beyond that.

Daily Wire reporter Spencer Lindquist traveled to Springfield to talk to residents about what was happening to their city after the Haitians arrived.

“There’s no section of this town that I feel safe in,” an anonymous Springfield resident said. “I don’t even like my wife to shop here. We try to go grocery shopping in other cities.”

He said that he felt like a stranger in his own city with stores where the main language is Haitian Creole.

“In the 10 years in this neighborhood, it’s very nice, we never had any break-ins, nothing like that,” the resident stated. “Just a couple weeks ago we had our first break-in.”

The man had his car broken into and worried that the overtaxed police department wouldn’t be able to solve the crime.

“They say our police force is staffed. It’s not,” the resident explained. “They’re tied up on traffic calls and they’re trying to translate to people that don’t know English.”

Springfield is located in west central Ohio’s Clark County, which was carried by Trump with 60% of the vote in 2020.

“I would like to see the election go in favor of Donald Trump this year, and I would like to see deportations,” the resident said.

The dangerous roads of Springfield

Thousands of Haitians are now driving the city’s streets without licenses and insurance, causing the number of accidents to skyrocket locally.

Eleven-year-old Aiden Clark was killed last year by a Haitian without a driver’s license who hit his school bus after he drove the wrong way down the street.

A Haitian with expired plates ran into 71-year-old Kathy Heaton last year, killing her as she attempted to cross the street.

Prosecutors declined to press charges.

FBI crime statistics show that crime began to soar in the city after the Haitians began arriving.

Springfield resident Glenda Bailey is supporting Trump in part because she thinks he’ll deport the Haitians.

“He’ll make them self-deport when he cuts out their benefits,” Bailey said. “They can make the same journey back as they took here.”

Kamala is making sure the Haitians are well taken care of, according to Bailey.

“They’re getting food stamps. They’re getting free medical. They’re getting help with legal services, interpretation services,” Bailey said. “Anything they need, they’re getting, and we’re the ones paying for it.”

Any community in the country can be the next Springfield because of Kamala Harris.
