Democrats drilled Robert Kennedy Jr. on Wednesday during his confirmation hearing to be Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Many Democrats particularly took issue with some of Kennedy’s previous statements about COVID.
But Robert Kennedy Jr. blew the lid on America’s COVID death count with 12 words that were scary as hell.
Last week, Robert Kennedy Jr. appeared before the Senate Finance Committee for a contentious confirmation hearing that lasted more than four hours.
Donald Trump nominated Robert Kennedy as his Secretary of Health and Human Services and tasked him with ending the chronic illness epidemic and Making America Healthy Again (MAHA).
But Kennedy Jr. is the most controversial Cabinet official to be nominated by Trump.
He’s been a fierce critic of the medical establishment for the past 40 years and has won several lawsuits against big corporations.
“Kennedy’s hearing was contentious, with Democrats pressing him on inflammatory and inaccurate statements he has made in the past on vaccines, COVID-19 and other topics,” CBS reported.
“There was some hope that he might attract some Democratic support, but there was little indication that will be the case,” CBS continued. “RFK Jr. had tense exchanges with several Democrats on the panel.”
Democrats grilled Kennedy Jr. on everything from his view on Medicaid to abortion to obesity to climate change to the pharmaceutical industry.
However, Kennedy stood his ground and defended his beliefs without apology.
Kennedy Jr. told the Committee that “President Trump has asked me to end the chronic disease epidemic and Make America Healthy Again.”
“If we don’t solve chronic disease, senator, all of the other disputes we have about who’s paying, and whether it’s insurance companies, whether it’s providers, whether it’s HMOs, whether it’s patients or families, all of those are moving deck chairs around on the Titanic,” he said.
RFK Jr. makes clear his job at HHS is to address the chronic disease epidemic!

Of course, Kennedy’s most controversial stance is his position on childhood vaccines.
But Kennedy addressed the issue in his opening statement by repeatedly assuring the committee that he is not “anti-vaccine.”
“I’m supportive of vaccines,” Kennedy said. “I support the measles vaccine, I support the polio vaccine.”
Kennedy added that the only reason he was attacked and labeled as “anti-vaccine” was because “I have often disturbed the status quo by asking uncomfortable questions.”
But Kennedy Jr. revealed one fact about the COVID pandemic that shows why Trump tasked him with making the country healthy.
“We had a higher death count than any country in the world,” Kennedy informed the Committee.
“And when CDC was asked why, they said it’s because Americans are the sickest people on Earth,” he continued. “The average person who died from COVID, an American, had 3.8 chronic diseases.”
Even though only 4.2% of the world’s population lives in America, the United States had 16% of the COVID-related deaths.
Kennedy added that the chronic disease epidemic is an “existential threat, economically, to our military, to our health, to our sense of well-being.”
The confirmation hearings for Kennedy Jr. continued on Thursday where he appeared before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
Kennedy Jr. is the most controversial nominee.
Only time will tell whether or not he secures enough votes to be confirmed as HHS Secretary.
