Three Key Takeaways:

  • Robert F. Kennedy Jr. fired Peter Marks, the Director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, citing his history of undermining scientific processes and prioritizing political timelines over patient safety during vaccine approvals.
  • Marks has been accused of disregarding the advice of qualified experts, notably in the rushed approval of COVID vaccines and other controversial treatments like ELEVIDYS, which resulted in patient harm.
  • Kennedy’s actions are presented as part of a broader effort to clean house at HHS, removing corrupt bureaucrats and refocusing on science and patient safety rather than pharmaceutical industry influence.

The Deep State is in full panic mode.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is cleaning house at Health and Human Services.

And Robert F. Kennedy Jr. just fired a top FDA official and the explosive reason will stun you.

Kennedy takes aim at corrupt FDA practices

The liberal media is melting down after Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. fired Peter Marks, the Director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) at the FDA.

The New York Times, Washington Post, and other left-wing outlets immediately rushed to paint Marks as a victim, claiming he resigned over “differences” with Kennedy regarding vaccines.

But they forgot one critical detail – Marks didn’t resign. He was fired.

After being shown the door, Marks tried to save face by claiming he refused to become “subservient to [Secretary Kennedy’s] misinformation and lies.”

Stanford University School of Medicine Adjunct Professor George Tidmarsh exposed the truth about Marks’ departure in a bombshell new report.

“Peter Marks is not a hero of the resistance but instead has been subverting the scientific process at FDA for years,” Tidmarsh revealed.

Firing incompetent career bureaucrats is exactly what Trump promised

The media’s claim that Marks is “FDA’s top vaccine scientist” is completely false.

Marks has no formal training in vaccines or immunology. He’s an oncologist who gave himself authority over vaccine approvals.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Marks actually fired the FDA’s real vaccine experts when they raised concerns about rushing through approvals.

“At FDA in 2021, Dr. Marks removed top career vaccine scientists so he could force through the approval of the COVID vaccine to meet an arbitrary Biden administration deadline,” Tidmarsh explained.

The experts Marks pushed out – Dr. Gruber and Dr. Krause from the Office of Vaccine Research – had warned they needed more time to research potential heart inflammation risks now known to be associated with COVID vaccines.

But Marks wasn’t interested in safety. He was interested in meeting Biden’s political timeline.

Marks also ignored scientific evidence when he approved COVID vaccines for children despite the “known fact that children have an extremely low risk of serious health effects of COVID-19 infection and yet a known significant increased risk of serious vaccine related toxicity.”

Peter Marks has blood on his hands

The career bureaucrat’s pattern of disregarding science didn’t stop with COVID vaccines.

In 2023, Marks overruled FDA scientists and an Advisory Board to approve ELEVIDYS, a gene treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Then in 2024, he expanded its approval despite continued objections from FDA staff.

The consequences were tragic. Just two weeks ago, a patient treated with ELEVIDYS died of liver failure.

“Marks overruled his own career staff and experts to drive through a risky and unproven therapy that has now killed a patient,” Tidmarsh wrote. “This tragedy should not have happened.”

The same story played out with the Alzheimer’s drug ADUHELM, which Marks approved in 2021 against the recommendations of FDA staff and an Advisory Board. The drug was so ineffective and dangerous that it was eventually pulled from the market.

“By ignoring these well-tested tenants of FDA review and approval, Marks endangered patients, gave false hope to those in desperate need and cost vast amounts of money that our health case system can ill afford,” Tidmarsh concluded.

So while the mainstream media attempts to portray Marks as a martyr for science, the truth is that Secretary Kennedy is cleaning house at an agency that put politics above patient safety.

Marks isn’t a victim — he’s a career bureaucrat who repeatedly sidelined real experts and approved dangerous treatments that failed to help patients.

The Swamp creatures in the administrative state are being drained one by one, just as President Trump promised.

And with Secretary Kennedy taking charge at HHS, Americans can expect more accountability from government agencies that have long prioritized pharmaceutical industry profits over public health.

Marks’ departure isn’t the end of science at the FDA – it’s the beginning of a return to following the actual science rather than political orders from the White House.
