With an estimated net worth of $2.5 billion, Jay-Z is one of the most successful rap artists of all time.

He has also been a close ally of the Democrat Party for years.

But Rap mogul Jay-Z just invested in one political program that has teachers’ unions furious.

The entertainment industry has always been dominated by Democrats.

Celebrities, musicians, and entertainers frequently push Democrats’ woke agenda and talking points while advocating to silence and censor anyone who dares speak out in opposition.

Rap mogul Jay-Z has been a loyal Democrat for years.

He became the first hip-hop billionaire in 2019, and in 2023, Billboard and Vibe named him the greatest rapper of all time after selling more than 140 million records worldwide and winning 24 Grammy Awards.

Outside of rap, Jay-Z has a successful career as an entrepreneur and businessman, founding the clothing line Rocawear in 1999, amongst many other successful ventures.

But Jay-Z is also one of the most politically active rappers in the game.

He supported former President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 and performed at numerous Democrat-financed voter-drive concerts.

Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé, made an appearance at a rally in support of former First Lady Hillary Clinton in 2016, who went on to praise the rapper’s political activism.

That’s why Democrats were surprised when Jay-Z decided to fund a program that advocates for school choice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Through his Roc Nation organization, Jay-Z is funding an effort by the Pennsylvania Award for Student Success to pass school choice legislation that would provide private school vouchers to low-income families in neighborhoods with low-achieving schools.

“We have enjoyed such a special connection with Philadelphians, so we’ve made it our mission to invest in the long-term success of the city’s changemakers,” Roc Nation Managing Director of Philanthropy Dania Diaz said last week.

Big Labor is the most powerful force in Democrat politics.

And one of the most powerful forces within Big Labor is the teachers’ unions, which are viciously opposed to school choice vouchers.

And they were not happy with Jay-Z’s announcement.

The American Federation of Teachers in Pennsylvania wrote “This ain’t it” under a picture of Jay-Z with billionaire and GOP donor Jeffrey Yass.

Needless to say, Jay-Z’s Democrat friends will not appreciate him spending money on school choice, especially in a battleground state like Pennsylvania.
