The COVID regime is expanding at a frightening rate.
Not even professional sports are exempt from the medical tyranny.
And one NHL star was suspended for a shocking reason that left Dr. Fauci smiling.
San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane might be the first professional athlete to get busted for using a fake vaccination pass.
There have been rumors that some NFL players have faked their COVID vaccines, but none have been caught.
The Athletic reports:
“San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane has been suspended 21 games without pay for violating the NHL and NHLPA’s COVID-19 protocols, the league announced on Monday. Kane, who has not suited up for the Sharks yet this season, will not appeal the decision, a source told The Athletic. He was not at training camp while the league investigated him for possibly attempting to falsify his COVID-19 vaccination status and for an allegation by his estranged wife, Anna Kane, of domestic abuse in a divorce filing. The NHL said Monday that the abuse allegations could not be substantiated.”
COVID protocols have hit professional sports hard.
Toronto officials threatened to arrest unvaccinated visiting NBA players who left their hotel rooms for non-team-related functions.
Last year, the San Francisco 49ers and Stanford Cardinal athletic teams had to leave the state for home games because of local COVID restrictions.
Some NFL players even contemplated retirement as a result of the league’s vaccine policy.
And Brooklyn Nets star point guard Kyrie Irving was suspended from the team indefinitely due to New York City’s vaccine mandate.
More from The Athletic:
“Using a fake vaccination card is illegal in the U.S., and NHL rules state that teams and players who fail to comply with COVID-19 protocols will face significant club and individual sanctions, including forfeiture of games, fines and reimbursements of expenses, as well as loss of draft choices.”
The suspension puts the cap on a tumultuous offseason for Kane.
In addition to accusing him of domestic abuse, Kane’s wife also said he gambled on Sharks games.
An NHL investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing, but the allegation was damaging to his reputation nonetheless.
The COVID regime doesn’t assume any responsibility for its vaccine mandates.
NBA player Brandon Goodwin had his season ended because of an adverse reaction to the vaccine that caused blood clots.
But everyone must comply no matter the consequences.
