The corporate-controlled media enjoyed a nice ratings spike during Donald Trump’s first term in the White House.

But it doesn’t look like things are going to go so well for them this time around.

And Nikki Haley went full hypocrite when she attacked these MSNBC hosts for one head-scratching reason.

President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide victory over Vice President Kamala Harris shocked the ruling class elites in Washington, D.C., and sent Democrats’ media allies into a state of panic.

Trump won the most votes of any Republican Presidential candidate in American history in his landslide victory.

And with Donald Trump set to take office in January, the so-called “mainstream” media is scrambling to figure out how to cover his second term.

Of course, during Donald Trump’s first term, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and the like all dropped the act and openly served as Democrats’ political attack machine.

Their previous strategy worked well and Donald Trump’s first term was good for the media.

CNN rose to the top of the cable news ratings after the events at the Capitol on January 6.

But the ratings plunged once Trump left office, and CNN lost 90% of its overall audience in the 25-54 year-old demographic in 12 months.

And today the corporate-controlled media’s ratings are in the tank across the board.

Polling also shows that the American people no longer trust the corporate-controlled media to report the truth about current events.

“For the third consecutive year, more U.S. adults have no trust at all in the media (36%) than trust it a great deal or fair amount. Another 33% of Americans express ‘not very much’ confidence,” Gallup reported in October.

Since the media enjoyed a ratings boost during Trump’s first term, it would seem like they would be excited about him returning to office in January.

Instead, left-wing talking heads, like MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid, are attacking and smearing ordinary Americans for supporting Trump.

But at least two of the biggest Trump haters in the media appear to see the writing on the wall and want to make the best of a second term.

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and his co-host wife, Mika Brzezinski, have been some of the most vocal critics of Trump in the media.

Their morning show is widely considered to be President Joe Biden’s favorite.

Since the election, MSNBC saw a double digit drop in viewership.

But Joe and Mika are hoping to turn things around.

On Monday, they shocked their viewers by informing them that they visited Donald Trump at his home in Mar-a-Lago.

“What we did agree on was to restart communications,” Brzezinski said.

Scarborough admitted that “we didn’t see eye-to-eye on a lot of issues, and we told him so.”

“In this meeting, he was upbeat, cheerful and he seemed interested in finding common ground on some of the most divisive issues,” Brzezinski said of the conversation. “For those asking why we would go speak with the president-elect during such fraught times, especially between us, I guess I would ask back, ‘Why wouldn’t we?’”

Of course, Scarborough made sure to let his viewers know he disagrees with Donald Trump on the issues.

“Don’t be mistaken: We’re not here to defend or normalize Donald Trump,” Scarborough said. “We’re here to report on him and to hopefully provide you insights and better equip all of us to understand these deeply unsettling times.”

RINO former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley blew a gasket when she saw their show on Monday.

Haley shared a video of Joe and Mika and added her own thoughts on their visit to Mar-a-Lago.

“Let’s be clear, Joe and Mika didn’t suddenly see the light, they saw their ratings,” Haley wrote on X. “They realized they needed Trump for their survival.”

On her SiriusXM show, Nikki Haley Live, Haley expanded on her post by saying that “Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough tore me up when I said anything about voting for Donald Trump or what I agreed with him on, even though I criticized him when I thought he was wrong.”

“I praised him when I thought he was good – they tore me up,” Haley said. “But the truth is, it’s not that they suddenly saw the light – it’s that they saw the ratings.”

“I mean, let’s be clear, they saw the ratings tank and they realized, ‘oh, we better get on with Donald Trump or else we’re not going to have a show,’” Haley added.

Nikki Haley makes a good point and is likely correct.

But it’s ironic coming from her, given how she tried sucking up to Trump after she attacked him during the Primary.
