Mark Zuckerberg just made Dana White an offer so big that he could not turn it down

Dana White took over the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2001 and turned it into one of the most valuable sports and entertainment brands in the world.

He expected the UFC to be his top business priority for 2025 and beyond.

But then Mark Zuckerberg made Dana White the one offer he could not refuse.

President-elect Donald Trump’s landslide victory over Vice President Kamala Harris sent shockwaves throughout Washington, D.C., and rocked the political establishment nationwide.

But the shockwaves from Trump’s landslide victory extend beyond the political class in America.

Just four years ago, Big Tech helped rig the election for Joe Biden by censoring the New York Post’s bombshell story about Hunter’s laptop.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also pumped hundreds of millions of dollars – referred to as “Zucker Bucks” – into local election offices around the country.

The money was used to fund the Democrat Party’s massive ballot-harvesting and get-out-the-vote operations.

After the events at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, Facebook banned Donald Trump from using its platform.

Trump wasn’t reinstated on Facebook until 2023 after he announced his bid for the White House.

Meta fully removed all of Trump’s suspension penalties from his Facebook and Instagram accounts by July of 2024.

But then something started to change in Mark Zuckerberg’s personality.

Zuckerberg started practicing mixed martial arts and fell in love with combat sports.

“Zuckerberg has been practicing mixed martial arts in recent years and has attended several UFC events, underscoring his enthusiasm for the combat sport,” CNBC reported. “In 2023, Zuckerberg tore his ACL during a sparring session as part of training for a competitive MMA fight.”

After Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt in July, Zuckerberg publicly praised him for doing “one of the most bad a** things I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Zuckerberg also apologized to the House Oversight Committee for the censorship role Facebook played in 2020.

After Donald Trump’s landslide victory, Zuckerberg pledged $1 million to help with the inauguration.

Zuckerberg also flew down to Mar-a-Lago for dinner with President-elect Trump following his election victory.

Of course, most Trump supporters are skeptical of Zuckerberg.

But he continues to make the right moves.

On Monday, Zuckerberg appointed three new members to his board of directors at Meta.

And one of those men is UFC President and close friend of Donald Trump, Dana White.

“Dana is the President and CEO of UFC, and he has built it into one of the most valuable, fastest growing, and most popular sports enterprises in the world,” Zuckerberg wrote in an announcement. “I’ve admired him as an entrepreneur and his ability to build such a beloved brand.”

“Charlie, Dana and John will add a depth of expertise and perspective that will help us tackle the massive opportunities ahead with AI, wearables and the future of human connection,” the statement added.

Dana White admitted that he had zero interest in joining the board until Zuckerberg called him.

“I’ve never been interested in joining a board of directors until I got the offer to join Meta’s board,” White said. “I am a huge believer that social media and AI are the future. I am very excited to join this incredible team and to learn more about this business from the inside.”

“There is nothing I love more than building brands, and I look forward to helping take Meta to the next level,” he added.

Dana White announced the decision on X.

“I love social media,” he wrote. “And I’m excited to be a small part of the future of AI and emerging technologies.”
