Most Congressional Committee hearings are just plain boring.
But every now and then a hearing that fills the room with excitement and passion takes place on Capitol Hill.
And Lauren Boebert turned the UFO Committee hearing upside down with this string of conspiracy-laced questions.
The U.S. House and Senate form several sub-committees that deal with specific duties and issues.
There are roughly 200 committees and subcommittees between the House and Senate.
Committee meetings and hearings are usually open to the public.
But most committee hearings are boring and don’t attract much attention or attendees other than the members and their staff.
However, some committee meetings are full of excitement and passion.
The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability recently held a hearing on “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth.”
“Members of the House Oversight Committee have spent more than a year trying to uncover secret government research into alien life and UFOs, also referred to as ‘unidentified anomalous phenomena’ or UAPs,” MSN reported. “Wednesday’s hearing, titled ‘Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth,’ featured four experts who said the U.S. government and the Pentagon should be more transparent about UFO sightings and research.”
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) serves on the Oversight Committee and attended the hearing on UAPs.
And Boebert’s string of conspiracy-fueled questions put jaws on the floor.
“I find myself on many lists,” Boebert began in her statement. “I speak my mind often, why not just keep going,” she continued, before adding that “may as well go all out, say it, earth is flat and birds are government drones, we never set foot on the moon, and Joe Biden received 80 million votes in the 2020 election.”
Boebert pointed out that Americans are “being kept in the dark” by the government.
She then had a string of wild questions about everything from hybrid humans to underwater aliens.
“There are rumors that have come up to the Hill of a secretive project within the Department of Defense involving the manipulation of human genetics with what is described as non-human genetic material for the enhancement of human capabilities, hybrids,” Boebert said. “Are any of you familiar with that? Yes, or no?”
None of the experts had a clue what she was talking about.
But Boebert was not done.
“Are there any accounts of UAPs emerging from or submerging into our waters which could indicate a base or presence between the ocean’s surface?” she asked. “Are there any technological capabilities that have been observed in these oceanic UAPs to defy our current understanding of physics or human engineering capabilities?”
“It seems like they all do,” Shellenberger answered.
But Boebert didn’t get any answers to her other questions during the hearing.
But she vowed to continue pressing and “will not relent until we get those answers to the American people.”
“There’s a lot of information about UAPs that we are unaware of due to over-classification, and the American people are being kept in the dark,” she wrote on X. “I look forward to working with President Trump’s incoming administration to get the answers we deserve!”
