The federal government tried to hide its spending in a maze of paperwork.

But the ugly truth was always bound to come out.

And Laura Ingraham was shocked at one terrible crime the government was funding.

A federal agency was caught funding illegal immigration

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) was a little-known independent of the federal government for distributing foreign aid.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and his team with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) discovered that USAID was a $50 billion taxpayer-funded left-wing slush fund by going through its books.

They discovered that the agency was funding initiatives abroad for abortion, climate change, LGBT causes, illegal immigration, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Some of the most infuriating grants given by USAID were for a transgender comic book and a transgender opera in South America.

The most disturbing discovery was that the agency was funneling money to so-called “Christian” relief organizations like World Relief that promote illegal immigration and to groups in Latin America who help illegal aliens make it into the United States.

President Donald Trump shut down USAID and transferred control of the agency to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

That prompted outrage from Democrats and their media allies at their slush fund being taken away.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and other elected Democrats argued that Trump shutting down USAID was illegal.

Trump official blows the whistle on USAID scandal

White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller slammed USAID for funding child trafficking during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s The Ingraham Angle

He defended Trump’s decision to shut down USAID as lawful.

“So he has plenary authority to carry out the foreign policy of the United States,” Miller explained. “Bureaucrats at USAID cannot interfere in the affairs of foreign countries to prop up regimes, thwart America’s interests, facilitate mass illegal immigration, or promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies that violate federal civil rights law.”

Any arguments against Trump having the power to shut down USAID ignore the President’s legal authority.

“All of this violates federal civil rights law,” Miller said. “The President is at the apex of authority here. Moreover, as you mentioned, Congress doesn’t dictate to these agencies how to spend the money. Agencies exercise discretion when awarding grants and contracts.”

Miller warned that non-governmental organizations (NGOs) funded by USAID were funneling billions into open-border groups.

“For example, these NGOs that promote open borders receive tens of billions of dollars,” Miller continued. “Congress never passed a law giving those organizations that money. President Trump can pause all those funds.”

He vowed that the Trump administration would redirect to the USAID funding to help secure the border.

“Not only can the agencies pause those funds, but they can also reallocate them to organizations that support border security, deport illegal aliens, track down criminal aliens, and provide detention for dangerous illegal immigrants in this country,” Miller stated.

The unaccountable federal bureaucracy is fuming that Elon Musk exposed their scam and that Donald Trump moved to shut it down.
