Kash Patel’s nomination to be FBI Director is getting resistance from the Washington, D.C. Swamp.

He’s a bit more savvy than his opponents realized.

And Kash Patel got one surprising message that will upend his confirmation process.

Patel’s experience and relationships paying dividends

The media is running a smear campaign against President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees who would be change agents.

Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth, Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard are getting their names dragged through the mud.

Former Trump Defense Department official Kash Patel is facing coordinated attacks from Democrats and their media allies to sink his nomination.

A former U.S. official told CBS News that he was “by far the most dangerous pick” by Trump.

Patel helped expose the FBI’s role in the “Russian collusion” hoax when he worked on the House Intelligence Committee under former Chairman Representative Devin Nunes (R-CA).

The Washington, D.C. Swamp is terrified of him going into the FBI and cleaning house.

One of the lines of attack against Patel is that he’s unqualified to serve as the FBI director.

But his experience in Congress and the first Trump administration has paid off in the confirmation process.

Patel has been able to build relationships with Senate Republicans who hold the fate of his nomination in their hands.

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) connected with him during the Biden Presidency.

“I was aware of Kash Patel by reputation during the Trump administration, but really got to know him over the last couple of years,” Lee said. “We’d often chat when he would swing through town. I found he had keen political instincts and was also just a delightful person to talk and strategize with.”

Patel putting in the hard work to get confirmed

Patel has been meeting with Republican Senators ahead of the next Congress to shore up support for his confirmation.

Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) praised him for his knowledge of national security issues.

“Since I got to DC, Kash has been one of my go-to people to call with questions about defense or national security,” Tuberville said. “His breadth of experience and handle on these critical issues is truly unmatched.”

Senator John Cornyn (RINO-TX) told talk radio show host Hugh Hewitt that things in the Senate looked good for Patel.

“People I know and who I trust speak well of him and I’m looking forward to meeting with him,” Cornyn said.

He added that he was confident that Patel would be confirmed.

The opposition to Patel hasn’t materialized like the Left hoped after their fearmongering against his nomination.

Patel spokeswoman Erica Knight told the Daily Caller that he’s been preparing to be in this situation.

“He’s spent the last few years deliberately building relationships with senators, meeting with them, and preparing for this moment,” Knight stated.

Kash Patel could avoid the bruising confirmation that many on the Left hoped for because of the good work he’s doing inside and outside of the federal government.
