People who want to protect the White House from scrutiny can try to deflect the reality Americans face all they want.

But that isn’t stopping the few actually honest journalists from trying to get to the meat of the matter.

And now Karine Jean-Pierre went nuclear after this Fox News reporter asked one question about the Hurricane Helene response.

KJP storms out of her press conference

The White House held a briefing this week, but it didn’t make Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre happy when she was asked about the Biden-Harris regime’s response to Hurricane Helene.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked her to explain why the regime had close to $157 million available and ready to help people displaced in Lebanon, yet they are claiming that the only way American hurricane victims can get the assistance they need is if Congress allocates more funding for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The question was raised as the agency is facing a dangerous shortage of funds during the aftermath of the recent destruction caused by Hurricane Helene.

KJP responded, “We’ve taken this very seriously. More than $200 million that we have provided to the impacted areas, but instead, people want to do disinformation, misinformation, which is dangerous.”

Doocy then asked her what the lack of additional funding for FEMA but plenty of funds for Lebanon says about President Joe Biden’s “values.”

The funding issue was addressed by President Biden in a letter he recently sent to congressional leaders.

KJP snapped back at Doocy that the question was mired in misinformation, saying angrily, “Your whole premise of the question is misinformation, sir.”

Doocy retorted with a simple, “Excuse me?”

“Yes, yes, it’s misinformation. I just mentioned to you that we provided more than $200 million to folks who are impacted in the area,” Jean-Pierre retorted.

However, the Democrat President just warned leaders in the House and Senate that “without additional funding, FEMA would be required to forgo longer-term recovery activities in favor of meeting urgent needs.”

Biden added, “The Congress should provide FEMA additional resources to avoid forcing that kind of unnecessary trade-off.”

He also noted that aside from the areas of the United States currently affected by Helene, “many other communities are also in urgent need of disaster assistance,” including many regions that have suffered devastating wildfires over the summer.

The ping-pong game for truth continued

Doocy asked KJP during the presser if she would agree that the letter Biden sent was not actual “misinformation.”

She responded, “No, the way you’re asking me the question is misinformation. There is money that we are allocating to the impacted areas, and there’s money there to help people who truly need it.”

“You can’t call a question that you don’t like, ‘misinformation.’ That’s very unfair,” Doocy responded.

Despite the letter Biden sent to Congress, KJP insisted that the regime has “the money available to help survivors of Hurricane Helene and also Hurricane Milton.”

She also said the need for more funds comes from not knowing just “how bad” Hurricane Milton will be.

Milton is currently reaching Category 5 status and is making a beeline for the state of Florida.

“That’s exactly what I just asked about, and you said it was misinformation,” said Doocy.

KJP then said, “Congress needs to come back and do their job and provide extra assistance, extra funding to the Disaster Relief Fund.”

After a brief angry tirade saying that Doocy “may not want that, but that’s okay” and adding that it’s “what this president wants, and that’s what the vice president wants,” she slammed her notebook shut and stormed out of the briefing room like a spoiled child.
