White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre thought her job would be easier now that Joe Biden is a lame-duck President.
But Fox News’ Peter Doocy is not about to let her off the hook that easily.
And Karine Jean-Pierre blew a gasket after Peter Doocy asked one simple question about Kamala Harris and the border.
As White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre is tasked with painting a rosy picture around Joe Biden’s failed Presidency.
Of course, this would even be a difficult task for the most skilled wordsmiths in Washington, D.C.
But Jean-Pierre is not very skilled, and she’s had a rough time in her role as Press Secretary.
She recently found herself in a new position during press briefings after Joe Biden announced his decision not to seek re-election.
Biden has only appeared in public a few times since he dropped out of the race and Kamala Harris emerged as the Party’s nominee.
Democrats’ media allies are now mostly focused on the race between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.
And since Joe Biden only has five months left in the White House, Jean-Pierre thought his decision to step aside would relieve some of the pressure from her role as Press Secretary.
But Fox News’ Peter Doocy gave Jean-Pierre a reality check during Monday’s White House press briefing.
Back in March 2021, just months after taking office, Biden appointed Kamala as his border czar.
But Kamala, every Democrat, and their media allies are now claiming that Biden never appointed her as border czar and instead only tasked her with “addressing the root causes of migration.”
Democrats and their allies in the media are gaslighting Americans with this lie.
Even though Joe Biden placed her in charge of the border, Kamala Harris recently launched a TV ad, where she touts her alleged support for more Border Patrol funding.
Since Harris is now running on a promise to secure the border if elected President, Peter Doocy wanted to know why she doesn’t do something right now about the illegal immigration crisis.
“She’s now promising to hire thousands more border agents than there are now under President Biden,” Doocy began. “How long have you known that Vice President Harris does not think the president is effective in his border policy?”
Doocy made a good point.
After all, Kamala is the Vice President and the border czar.
But Jean-Pierre was not happy about Doocy’s question.
“You’re making a huge jump,” Jean-Pierre replied. “She did not say this. This is something you are assuming. I don’t understand why you would assume that. It’s not true.”
But Doocy is not one to back down or allow Jean-Pierre off the hook so easily.
“If President Biden is doing such a good job, why do they need more agents?” he responded.
“The president does want more Border Patrol agents,” Jean-Pierre claimed.
She then tried to blame the border crisis on Republicans instead of her boss and his border czar.
“You know who’s getting in the way? Republicans in Congress, they’re getting in the way,” she said.
Jean-Pierre even blamed it on Donald Trump even though he is most well-known for his “build the wall” slogan and strong border security positions.
“You know who else is getting in the way?” she asked. “The former president, Donald Trump. He’s getting in the way.”
