Kamala Harris’ climate engagement director described the fossil fuel industry with one word that could cost her Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is a must-win state for Kamala Harris.

The Real Clear Politics polling average indicates that Donald Trump currently holds a razor thin 0.8% lead in the Keystone State.

And Kamala Harris’ climate engagement director described the fossil fuel industry with one word that could cost her Pennsylvania.

The Real Clear Politics polling average indicates that former President Donald Trump is leading by slim margins well within the margin of error in the seven swing states of Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Pennsylvania is the most important of the seven swing states.

In 2020, President Joe Biden won the state by roughly 81,000 votes.

This means even a small shift in Pennsylvania voters’ feelings towards Trump could deliver a victory in the state and hand him back the keys to the White House.

As NPR recently pointed out, based on the current data, if Trump can win one of the so-called “Blue Wall states” of Pennsylvania, Michigan, or Wisconsin, he’ll likely win the Presidency.

Meanwhile, if Kamala can win either Pennsylvania, Georgia, or North Carolina, she’ll likely win the Presidency.

But Kamala is having a hard time winning over Pennsylvania voters due to her past support for banning fracking.

The energy industry is the engine that drives the Keystone State’s economy as tens of thousands of Pennsylvanians make their living in the energy sector.

And a large portion of this comes from the fossil-fuel industry.

According to Fox News, the fossil-fuel industry provides more than 50,000 jobs in Pennsylvania.

But Kamala Harris called for a total ban on fracking when she ran for President in 2020.

“There’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking,” Kamala said. “Starting with what we can do on day one around public lands and then there has to be legislation, but yes,” she continued. “This is something I’ve taken on in California – I have a history of working on this issue.”

Kamala was referring to when she sued the Obama regime to stop fracking during her time as California’s Attorney General.

She also sponsored the so-called “Green New Deal” in the Senate.

But now that she needs to win Pennsylvania, Kamala has suddenly been singing a far different tune and walking back her support for destroying American energy production with a ban on fracking.

In an anonymous statement, her campaign claimed that she now no longer supports banning fracking – a major flip-flop from her past statements.

But actions speak louder than words.

Kamala selected Camila Thorndike to be her campaign’s “climate engagement director,” despite the fact that she has a history of being an environmental extremist who despises the use of fossil fuels.

She previously worked for Senator Bernie Sanders (Socialist-VT) as a legislative aide for climate policy.

During her time in Senator Sanders’ office, Thorndike referred to the fossil fuel industry as “evil.”

“There’s no greater source of harm than continuing to cook the planet,” she claimed.

Her social media posts are also telling.

“A world in which my kids wouldn’t die young is the reason I became a climate activist 16 years ago,” she wrote. “The fossil fuel industry’s ecoterrorism is still great birth control.”

In another post, she called the fossil fuel industry a “death cult” that “quietly murders every day.”

Kamala Harris is trying to convince Pennsylvanians that she is now a champion for fossil fuels.

But a supporter of fossil fuels would never hire someone who considers the American oil & gas industry to be an evil “death cult.”
