The joy and good vibes around Kamala Harris’ campaign have been replaced with fear and anxiety.
Democrats thought the Presidential race was going to be a layup.
And John Kennedy had one scary message for Democrats about 2024 that crushed their spirits.
Kennedy says voters have an easy choice this election
Vice President Kamala Harris has watched her lead in the polls evaporate over the last month as her campaign lost momentum.
She’s scrambling in the final days of the race to right the ship.
Both Presidential candidates are making their final pitches to undecided voters.
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) said that voters had a choice this election between “more hurt” under Kamala or “hope” with former President Donald Trump during an appearance on Newsmax’s Rob Schmitt Tonight.
“You don’t have to be a Latin scholar to figure out what’s going on at this moment,” Kennedy began.
“Thirteen days until the election, and Harris is behind,” Kennedy continued. “That’s why you see her, President [Barack] Obama, and all of the pop stars and movie stars running around like ants on a sugar bowl.”
It’s an all-hands-on-deck moment for Democrats.
Former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, former First Lady Michelle Obama, and a host of celebrities from Bruce Springsteen to Beyonce are campaigning for Kamala in the final days of the election.
Kamala can’t close the sale with voters
Kennedy said that Trump was a known quantity with voters at this point, but Kamala is still an unknown quantity to many.
“Most voters, unless they’re cell-deep stupid, have already formed an opinion about President Trump,” Kennedy said. “That’s not why the Vice President is falling behind. She is falling behind because the American people, or at least a critical portion of them, are very uncertain about her.”
The chickens are coming home to roost for Kamala after she dodged interviews and relied on the media’s fabricated image of her.
“They want to know that she’s not a chowderhead. They want to know she has the right stuff,” Kennedy explained. “They want to know what she’s going to do about inflation, the border, crime, and national security. And President Trump has addressed all those things, and frankly, she hasn’t.”
Kamala still hasn’t laid out a substantive agenda and is relying on not being Trump.
“They want to know that if they gave her a penny for her thoughts, they wouldn’t get back change,” Kennedy quipped.
The colorful Louisiana Republican dismissed the closing strategy for Kamala’s campaign.
“This race has turned, and I think the Vice President’s strategy, for what it’s worth, is star-spangled stupid,” Kennedy stated. “I mean, her thesis seems to be, Look, I may be bad, but the other guy is worse. Yeah, that’s not how you win a campaign.”
Kennedy said that the election offered the country a simple choice.
“This race right now is about the following: hope versus more hurt,” Kennedy declared. “Hope versus more hurt.”
Kamala Harris is fading down the stretch after the media couldn’t carry her to victory.
