John Cornyn Spent 70 Million Hiding the One Vote That Betrayed Trump

Cornyn outspent Ken Paxton $70 million to $4 million – and still couldn't break 42 percent.

Now we know what he was hiding.

A new report just documented exactly what that $70 million was buying – and every conservative in Texas needs to see it.

The Biden Judges Cornyn Confirmed Are Blocking Trump Right Now

These are not old votes with old consequences. These are active cases.

John Cornyn voted to confirm Lindsay Jenkins to a federal bench in Illinois. In July 2025, Jenkins dismissed Trump's lawsuit against Illinois, Chicago, and Cook County's sanctuary policies – ruling they are protected by the Tenth Amendment.

He confirmed Zahid Quraishi in New Jersey. Quraishi ruled against the Trump administration in over 70 immigration detention cases, ordering the immediate release of detainees.

He confirmed Tiffany Cunningham to the Federal Circuit. Cunningham ruled Trump's tariffs illegal – the same tariffs already cutting into China's trade advantage.

He confirmed Arun Subramanian in Southern New York. In January 2026, Subramanian issued a temporary restraining order blocking Trump's freeze of over $10 billion in childcare and social services funds to five Democrat-run states.

Taxpayer money frozen by a judge John Cornyn put on the bench.

And then there's Florence Pan. Cornyn confirmed her to the D.C. District – and in 2024, Pan ruled against Trump on presidential immunity. Had the Supreme Court not reversed her, Donald Trump could have gone to prison. Not for a crime. For being president. John Cornyn handed the Democrats that weapon.

Cornyn Voted With Collins and Graham While Texas Conservatives Got Sold Out

Across all twelve of those confirmation votes, only three Republicans were consistent on every single one: Susan Collins, Lindsey Graham, and John Cornyn.

Collins is an avowed moderate from Maine. Graham is Washington's most famous neocon. And Cornyn – who spent $70 million telling Texas voters he's Trump's loyal soldier – fits right between them.

This is the same Cornyn who called Trump's border wall "naïve." Who said "a new, giant wall between the United States and Mexico from sea to shining sea makes no sense whatsoever."

Who told a reporter that Trump didn't understand the border issue. He confirmed Dana Douglas to the 5th Circuit – Douglas issued the majority opinion ordering Texas to remove the floating barriers from Operation Lone Star, the barriers Texas built to stop the Biden-era migrant surge. Paxton won that case on appeal. No thanks to Cornyn.

Paxton told supporters on election night: "We proved something they'll never understand in Washington. Texas is not for sale."

He was right.

Cornyn Claimed He Votes With Trump 99 Percent of the Time

The Cornyn campaign ran ads calling him "tough as nails on illegal immigration." He told crowds he "votes with Trump 99 percent of the time."

The judges he confirmed were releasing detained migrants, blocking deportations, and freezing federal funds.

Texas voters didn't have this full picture on March 3rd – and Cornyn still only pulled 42 percent after outspending Paxton by more than fifteen to one.

The runoff is May 26. That electorate – the people who show up when nothing else is on the ballot – belongs to Paxton. Trump hasn't endorsed yet, but he's signaled he'll weigh in soon.

The choice for Texas conservatives is simple: the senator who armed Biden's judges against Trump, or the fighter who took on the entire Washington machine with $4 million and nearly won outright.

Cornyn spent $70 million betting voters would never find out.

They're finding out now.
