Joe Biden approves a dangerous new escalation by Ukraine with American weapons
Ukraine is on its heels as a Russian offensive pushes into Kharkiv, the country’s second-largest city.
President Joe Biden has continued to pour taxpayer money and taxpayer-funded weapons into the failed war effort despite the fact there’s no realistic path to victory for the Ukrainians.
He’s sent increasingly sophisticated American weapons to Ukraine, but it hasn’t turned the tide.
Now, Biden is deepening American involvement in the conflict with a dangerous new escalation toward Russia.
He recently signed off on the Ukrainian military using American weapons for attacks inside Russia’s border.
Biden regime officials claim that the use of American weaponry in Russia will be limited to targets over the border that will help stop the Kharkiv offensive.
But over the more than two years of the ruling class elites’ proxy war against Russia in the eastern European country, Biden has zoomed past every red line he previously set for American involvement.
“The president recently directed his team to ensure that Ukraine is able to use US-supplied weapons for counterfire purposes in Kharkiv so Ukraine can hit back at Russian forces hitting them or preparing to hit them,” a Biden official told CNN.
Biden Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the decision was made after pressure from the Ukrainian government.
“Over the past few weeks, Ukraine came to us and asked for the authorization to use weapons that were provided to defend against this aggression,” Blinken said. “Including against Russian forces that are massing on the Russian side of the border.”
And to the surprise of no one who has been paying attention, Blinken hinted that this could be just the beginning of Ukraine utilizing American weapons for strikes inside Russia.
He told reporters in Prague that the United States would “adapt and adjust” when asked if this opened up the possibility of deeper strikes into Russia.
Biden risking escalation with the Russians
At a Senate Democrat fundraiser in September 2022, Biden warned that the risk of nuclear “armageddon” was the highest the world has faced since the Cuban Missile Crisis.
But like the rest of the ruling class, he’s bent the knee to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s demands for more taxpayer money and taxpayer-funded weapons every step of the way.
A Biden regime official admitted this reversal came because Ukraine is losing the war – even though the entire effort has been destined for failure from the start.
“There’s a real sense that the Ukrainians are in trouble. There’s a sense something needed to be done to weaken the Russian advances. The idea is to slow the Russian advances long enough for the Ukrainians to recover, buying them some time,” a Biden official told Politico.
Biden doesn’t want to add the humiliation of Ukraine’s defeat to his growing list of failures in an election year after pouring hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars into the doomed effort.
Now, taxpayer-funded weapons are going to be used for strikes within Russia’s borders, creating a situation in which Russian President Vladimir Putin can claim the U.S. has crossed a red line and follow through on his threat to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in the conflict if needed.
