Democrat Congresswoman mocks Texas Governor’s disability

Texas Democrat Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett is quickly becoming the new face of the radical Left.

Speaking at a benefit for the Human Rights Campaign in Los Angeles, Crockett took aim at Texas Governor Greg Abbott with a shocking insult about his disability.

“We in these hot a** Texas streets, honey. Y’all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there, come on now! And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot a** mess, honey!” she said, laughing as the crowd applauded.

Governor Abbott has been wheelchair-bound since 1984, when he was struck by a falling oak tree while jogging at age 26. The accident crushed his spine and left him paralyzed.

The cruel mockery of Abbott’s disability represents a new low, even for today’s Democrat Party.

Republicans condemn Crockett’s hateful rhetoric

Republicans quickly fired back at Crockett’s disgusting comments.

“Crockett’s comments are disgraceful,” said Senator John Cornyn (R-TX). “Can you imagine if a Republican said something like this? It would be on [the] front page of NYT [New York Times] and all over CNN.”


The National Republican Congressional Committee didn’t mince words about what Crockett’s comments reveal about Democrats.

“House Dems’ top spox Jasmine Crockett applauded after attacking Texas Governor Abbott for using a wheelchair,” the NRCC posted on X. “Recent polling shows Crazy Crockett as one of the leaders of the Democrat Party. This is who they are.”


Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) called out Crockett’s ignorance about Abbott’s condition.

“FYI to the new spokeswoman for the Democrat party – Greg Abbott became paralyzed after a huge oak tree fell on him, crushing his spine. But sure, go with ‘hot wheels,'” Mullin fired back.

Pattern of violent rhetoric from the Texas Democrat

This isn’t Crockett’s first brush with controversy in recent days.

Just days before mocking Abbott’s disability, Crockett made threatening comments about Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) that many viewed as inciting violence.

When asked how Democrats could win elections in Texas, Crockett said, “I think that you punch, I think you punch, I think you OK with punching.”

She then specifically targeted Cruz saying, “It’s Ted Cruz. I mean, like this dude has to be knocked over the head, like hard, right? Like there is no niceties with him, like at all. Like you go clean off on him.”


The Texas Congresswoman has also recently called for tech billionaire Elon Musk to be “taken down” at a rally titled “We Choose To Fight: Nobody Elected Elon.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a stern warning to Crockett on Sunday, telling her to “tread carefully” or face potential legal consequences for her inflammatory rhetoric.

Abbott stands strong despite attacks

Abbott, who took office in 2015, has been a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump and made border security a cornerstone of his time as Governor.

His “Operation Lone Star” initiative, launched in 2021, deployed state officials and the Texas National Guard to secure the border that the Biden administration refused to protect.

Abbott’s efforts to build border fortifications led to several confrontations with the Biden administration, most notably a standoff between federal and state officials at Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas, in 2024.

Rather than engage with Abbott on policy differences, Crockett chose to mock his disability in what conservative activist Riley Gaines called a gift to Republicans.

“Democrats, please keep giving Jasmine Crockett the microphone. We’ll never lose an election again,” Gaines remarked.


Conservative influencer Charlie Kirk didn’t hold back in his assessment of the Congresswoman’s character.

“Jasmine Crockett continues to embarrass herself, the state of Texas, and the US Congress by referring to Governor Greg Abbott as ‘Governor Hot Wheels,'” Kirk said. “Gov. Abbott was paralyzed at the age of 26 when an oak tree fell and crushed his spine while jogging. This woman is trash.”


Crockett’s comments expose the hypocrisy of a Democrat Party that claims to champion compassion while mocking the physical disabilities of their political opponents.
