Actress Jane Fonda is recognized by many as an American film icon.
But many also view her as a traitor to our country.
And Jane Fonda was stunned after Bill Maher explained why his TV career could be over when Donald Trump takes office in January.
Democrats were confident Vice President Kamala Harris would secure victory heading into Election Day, but voters instead handed President-elect Donald Trump a mandate to carry out his America First agenda.
Democrats are still in a frenzy over Trump’s historic victory over Kamala.
They’re pointing fingers and playing the blame game in a desperate attempt to find out what went wrong on Election Day.
But liberal comedian Bill Maher believes Democrats only need to look in the mirror to find the answer.
According to Maher, Democrats lost because “this country has had enough of the anti-common sense, woke bulls***.”
“Even the ultra-liberal people of San Francisco had enough of homelessness, public drug use, defecation in the streets, and now London Breed’s pronouns are she/gone,” he added.
Of course, Maher’s criticism of Democrats on messaging doesn’t mean he’s a fan of Donald Trump.
Maher is one of the biggest Trump haters in the media.
But his time on TV may be coming to an end in January when Trump takes office.
On Sunday, Maher interviewed actress Jane Fonda on his Club Random podcast.
Jane Fonda, aka Hanoi Jane, assisted the Vietnamese Communists in 1972 during the middle of the Vietnam War, an act that was considered treasonous by many.
But on Sunday, the two discussed the election and what it means for the future.
Maher shocked Fonda when he revealed that he may soon be off the air due to Donald Trump.
“I’m s******* my pants, I may quit,” Maher told Fonda. “Because I don’t want to do another [Trump term].”
After years of attacking Trump, Maher said he is now “bored with it.”
“I did all the Trump stuff before anybody,” he continued. “I’ve done it – I’m bored with it.”
A shocked Fonda wondered why he couldn’t transition to another topic to cover during his show and just ignore Trump.
“The show is the politics,” Maher said. “There is no other thing! And he’s going to dominate the news like he always does.”
Maher and Fonda then turned the conversation to climate change.
Fonda has been arrested multiple times for her environmental extremist activism.
“We live in a soup of toxic chemicals,” Fonda told Maher, before adding that “if we don’t regulate it, we’re all going to die of cancer.”
“That’s true,” Maher said.
But he admitted there are far too many regulations in California.
“You really don’t believe the state we live in California is lacking regulations,” he said. “There’s over 300,000 regulations.”
“Well, maybe they’re needed,” Fonda fired back.
Maher told Fonda a story about how he had to pass three inspections just to install a new door on his garage in California.
A delusional Fonda said, “I don’t for a minute consider California a state that is extreme leftist, not at all, not any way.”
Maher said it’s this type of reasoning that is why Democrats lost.
“There’s stories like that, that just makes people roll their eyes and go, ‘Are you people nuts?’” he said, before offering another example of the Left claiming men can “get pregnant.”
Fonda claimed that the Left has never said men can get pregnant.
Ultimately, the two decided that they actually don’t agree on as many issues as expected.
“Your worldview is just so totally different than mine,” she said.
Fonda is right.
She lives in Democrats’ alternate reality while Maher lives in the real world.
