Democrats and their media allies tried to run a hoax against former President Donald Trump for attending a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery with the 13 Gold Star families of the soldiers killed at the Kabul Airport during the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal.
The families invited the Trump campaign to attend the event and asked his camp to take photographs of the event.
National Public Radio (NPR) ran a hit piece that falsely claimed the Trump campaign got into a physical altercation with a member of the cemetery’s staff.
The Trump campaign denied the allegation, and the story never gained traction.
Trump’s trip to Arlington National Cemetery highlighted his compassion for the Gold Star families that have been ignored by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
It made Kamala look bad because she’s never spoken to the families, and it was another painful reminder of the Biden-Harris regime’s catastrophic failure in Afghanistan.
The media pivoted to attacking Trump for going to the cemetery as a campaign photo op.
Self-proclaimed “journalists” weren’t going to let the story die.
Kamala jumped in by attacking Trump on social media, claiming he “disrespected sacred ground, all for the sake of a political stunt.”
A joint statement from the 13 Gold Star families ripped Kamala for trying to “politicize” the wreath-laying ceremony that Trump attended.
“We, the families of the brave service members who were tragically killed in the Abbey Gate bombing, are appalled by Vice President Kamala Harris’ recent attempts to politicize President Trump’s visit to Arlington National Cemetery,” the statement read in part.
Vance fires back at Kamala over Arlington National Cemetery visit
Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) pointed out the painful truth that Kamala and her public relations team in the media wanted to avoid during the Arlington National Cemetery hoax on social media.
He pointed to a video of former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard on CNN shutting down the hoax.
“Tulsi Gabbard (herself a veteran) tells the story of how Donald Trump went to Arlington to pay respects to 13 Americans who died in the line of duty,” Vance wrote on X. “Kamala Harris has done nothing for these families. Donald Trump showed up to grieve with them. Donald Trump showed up to grieve with them.”

Gabbard attended the wreath-laying ceremony with Trump at Arlington National Cemetery.
“I saw President Trump spending time at the invitation of the Gold Star families,” Gabbard told CNN’s Dana Bash. “He was there for a few hours. I did not see or hear about any kind of altercation until something came out in the news later on.”
“The families were there grieving alongside President Trump and it was a very special moment to really remember their names, remember their memories, and understand the true cost of war,” Gabbard added.
Kamala Harris and the media are determined to attack Donald Trump over this to take the focus off of her failures.
