Hillary Clinton Called Republicans Brain Dead and the White House Smacked Her Down

Joe Biden destroyed family budgets for four years.

Now Hillary Clinton is calling Republicans brain-dead for not fixing it fast enough.

The woman who cheered every Biden spending bill that lit inflation on fire just published a column lecturing America about family affordability – and the White House response was brutal.

Biden Inflation Cost Families 17000 Dollars and Now Clinton Wants to Fix It

Twice failed Presidential Clinton dropped an op-ed in The New York Times calling out Republicans – specifically Vice President JD Vance – for being "substantively and politically brain-dead" on family affordability.

She offered a "kids agenda" of expanded child tax credits, national paid leave, and early childhood investments.

Trump already delivered every item on that list.

The One Big Beautiful Bill, signed into law in July 2025, permanently expanded the Child Tax Credit to $2,200 per child, made the paid family leave tax credit permanent, and created Trump Accounts – $1,000 government savings deposits for every eligible newborn.

White House spokesman Kush Desai didn't need a column in The New York Times to respond.

He needed one sentence.

"Hillary Clinton's favorite hobby for the past decade has been reminding everyone why she lost in 2016."

Clinton's Own Party Voted to Hold Her in Contempt Over Epstein

Biden's Democrats passed trillions in reckless spending, flooded the country with 15 million illegal aliens competing for housing, and shackled American energy production with regulations that sent electricity prices up more than 30 percent.

By mid-2022, inflation hit 9.1 percent – the worst spike in 40 years.

The House Budget Committee put a number on the damage: Biden's policies cost American families over $17,000 more per year just to buy the same gas, groceries, and goods they bought before he took office.

Car prices rose 22 percent. Gas prices rose 30 percent. Grocery bills that cost $100 in 2019 cost $137 by the time Biden left office.

Clinton cheered every spending bill that caused it, and she's now writing op-eds in The New York Times calling JD Vance brain-dead.

Clinton isn't just wrong about affordability – she's irrelevant, and her own party knows it.

When House Republicans subpoenaed Clinton to testify in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation this February, Democrats didn't rush to her defense.

Nine Democrats on the Oversight Committee voted to advance contempt proceedings against her husband before the Clintons agreed to testify.

Russell Riley, a presidential historian at the University of Virginia, said today's Democrats have a conception of what the party should look like that "is not a Clintonian conception."

Translation: her own side said it first.

Democrats called it "tone deaf" when the New Hampshire Democratic Party announced Clinton would headline their April fundraising dinner.

VP Vance said in December: "Every affordability crisis confronting the American people today is traceable directly to a problem caused by Joe Biden and congressional Democrats."

"If they want to talk about affordability, they ought to look in the mirror."

Clinton looked in the mirror and apparently saw a woman who deserves a column in The New York Times.

The rest of America sees the woman who backed the policies that made eggs, rent, and mortgages unaffordable – now calling the people cleaning up her mess brain-dead.

Democrats are betting that voters have short memories heading into November 2026.

They're counting on families forgetting who drove prices to a 40-year high, who ignored warnings that reckless spending would detonate an inflation crisis, and who are now recycling a "kids agenda" as though they didn't spend four years making it harder to afford having kids in the first place.

Clinton writing op-eds about family affordability is the tell – the party has no new ideas, no credible messengers, and no plan that doesn't involve pretending the last four years didn't happen.
