Former Democrat Governor Went on National Radio and Told America to Vote Republican

Democrats are spending the final days of the midterms insisting their party is united.

One of their own just walked into a radio studio and proved them wrong.

What he said on air nine days before Election Day should end their confidence for good.

Rod Blagojevich Says the Democratic Party Has Been Hijacked by Socialists and Tells America to Vote Republican

Rod Blagojevich went on WABC's Cats Roundtable and did something most Democrats are too scared to do: call out his own party.

"The Democratic Party has been hijacked by socialists and communists who hate America," he said.

Blagojevich is a two-term Democratic governor of Illinois – the same state that launched Barack Obama into the White House – not a Republican operative or a MAGA rally warm-up act.

And he is telling Americans to vote Republican in November.

"If you want Mamdanis all across America, then stay home and allow the Democrats to win the midterm elections," he warned.

"But if you want to make our country great again, and protect it from people who would destroy our country, then get out there and vote."

The socialist takeover he is warning about already has a face: Zohran Mamdani, a 34-year-old self-described socialist who is the mayor of the largest city in America.

Mamdani ran on rent freezes, free buses, and sweeping government control of New York City life, and he won.

Socialists have already taken primaries in Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Pennsylvania in 2026, with more on the ballot November 3rd.

Bernie Sanders flew to New York to personally campaign for Mamdani and told the crowd a socialist victory there would inspire people across the country and around the world.

Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump sees this election as a clear ideological contest – "between communism and common sense."

Blagojevich, who spent decades inside the Democratic machine, is saying the same thing.

The Obama Senate Seat Deal That Put Rod Blagojevich in Prison for Eight Years

The Blagojevich case did not start with Blagojevich.

Obama's team sent an emissary to meet with him and negotiate who would fill the vacated Senate seat.

FBI wiretaps, not Blagojevich's lawyers, confirmed it – calls where Obama's own preferred pick, Valerie Jarrett, was being discussed for the Senate seat in exchange for a cabinet position for Blagojevich.

Obama's union-official go-between, Tom Balanoff, was caught on those same tapes carrying messages between the two camps.

Obama then went on television and told America: "I have not discussed the Senate seat with the governor at any time."

Blagojevich served eight of those 14 years before Trump commuted his sentence; Obama spent the same stretch in the White House.

On the show, Blagojevich had one line for the whole relationship: "He spent eight years in the White House. I spent eight years in the big house."

Trump commuted Blagojevich's sentence in 2020 because he recognized what the Democrat Party never did – a man who got burned by his own people and had every reason to say so.

Andrew Cuomo Said Mamdani Was a Gift to Trump Before the 2026 Midterms

Blagojevich is not the only Democrat saying it.

Andrew Cuomo – the former Democratic governor of New York who ran against Mamdani and lost – told The View that Mamdani is "a gift" for Trump.

"If you're a Republican, you are praying for Mamdani to win," Cuomo said.

"Mamdani wins, they'll say the Democratic Party has been taken over by socialists."

Mamdani won in November 2025.

Two former Democrat governors are handing Republicans the closing argument nine days before Election Day, and the Democrats have no answer for it – not when the people making the case spent their careers building the party they are now describing as a threat to the country.

With November 3 fast approaching, with Mamdani running New York City and socialists winning primaries in major cities across America, Blagojevich is the most dangerous kind of messenger Democrats could face: a true believer they mugged on the way out the door.
