Their landslide loss last month should have told them that Americans are fed up with frivolous woke spending, but it didn’t.

Lame-duck President Joe Biden and his left-wing regime are hellbent on going scorched Earth for radical causes before the moving vans back up to the White House.

And one of those causes is environmental extremism. This is part of Democrats’ agenda to control American taxpayers’ every move, from the vehicles we drive to the homes we raise our families in.

Brent Efron is a special advisor for implementation with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Efron had the misfortune of speaking the truth about his agency’s recent actions while not knowing he was being filmed by the watchdog group Project Veritas.

And the unelected, left-wing bureaucrat was painfully honest.

Efron confessed that the Democrat-controlled EPA is “just trying to get the money out as fast as possible before they come in and stop it all.”

“They,” of course, referred to President-Elect Donald Trump and his conservative partners who will exercise their mandate to clean up the mess left in Washington, D.C.

However, the mess is only getting nastier as the humbled administration is ushered out the door.

Efron went on to gush, “It truly feels we’re on the Titanic; we’re throwing gold bars off the edge.”

His free flow of shocking details continued. Asked where the gold bars being tossed overboard are headed, Efron freely admitted they are being funneled to “nonprofits, states, tribes.”

The EPA advisor even confessed the Biden regime’s reasoning. If the taxpayer dollars went to government programs, it would be easier for the Trump White House to rein in the excess and restore sanity.

However, since the money is being shoveled away from the federal Treasury, it works as an “insurance policy” against the much-publicized push to eliminate wasteful spending on Democrats’ pet projects.

Efron explained that the millions being thrown around like so much Monopoly money would be out of Trump’s grasp.

Democrats’ criminally wasteful spending is coming to an end

As for Elon Musk, he went on his X platform to express his disgust with the bureaucrat’s boasting about the wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars by those who are supposed to be the stewards of the nation’s purse strings.

Of course, Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are tasked with slicing hundreds of billions of fat from the bloated federal budget. 

The soon-to-be-formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is a welcome breath of fresh air for the corrupt system.

Setting taxpayer dollars on fire for such extravagances as those described by Efron will become a thing of the past. 

And that result will not be a moment too soon.

After all, as Musk correctly noted, merely the interest on the staggering $36 trillion national debt consumes more of the annual federal budget than the entire Defense Department.

If Musk and DOGE are successful, the days of tossing gold bars off the decks of sinking ships are over.
