Fox News was supposed to be the “fair and balanced” alternative to the left-wing media.
In that case, something went terribly wrong.
And Donald Trump’s mouth hung open with what he saw on Fox News.
Fox host badgers White House Deputy Chief of Staff over spending freeze
Donald Trump signed an executive order instituting a 90-day freeze on all discretionary spending to make sure it aligned with his agenda.
That’s when the Deep State and their fake news media allies sprang into action.
News stories popped up – fed to the press by Deep State operatives – that Trump’s freeze threatened to end school lunch programs or Meals on Wheels.
These stories – all false – created chaos as Americans became frightened they would lose access to Social Security, Medicare, and programs that provided food.
A federal judge in Rhode Island issued a temporary restraining order blocking the freeze.
Fox News correspondent Jacqui Heinrich invited Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller on to discuss the spending freeze.
“Can you clear up whether the phrase is in effect?” Heinrich asked.
“Because I obviously saw the Press Secretary say, ‘Memo rescinded, but the orders are still in place, the freeze is still in effect.’ That’s evidently not how [the Department of Justice] is seeing it. They believe that the brakes have been pumped on this whole thing because of the administrative stay in D.C., and now, potentially a temporary restraining order coming out of Rhode Island and the other case with 22 state Attorneys General. So, is money for the programs impacted by the President’s [executive orders] currently going out the door while the court case plays out?” Heinrich inquired.
Miller responded that the fake news was flooding the zone with misinformation.
The spending freeze only applied to discretionary spending not mandated by Congress, such as billions of dollars that flowed to NGOs for refugee resettlement that enabled mass migration or woke programs promoting transgender surgeries.
“The President issued executive orders pausing funding for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Critical Race Theory, radical transgender ideology, sex changes,” Miller stated.
That simple answer wasn’t good enough for Heinrich who began interrupting Miller and not letting him answer when she asked about the left-wing judge in Rhode Island stopping the spending freeze.
“Either I can answer the question or I can’t,” an exasperated Miller told Heinrich.
Miller then went on to say that the programs Trump froze – the Green New Deal, transgender surgeries, Critical Race Theory, ect. – weren’t required by law and were well within his purview to freeze.
“The President paused funding for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, radical gender ideology, Critical Race Theory, sex changes for minors, foreign aid, as well as certain Green New Deal projects. Also, the resettlement of illegal aliens and the funding to NGOs that were settling illegal aliens. Those are all discretionary agency spending projects that are not required by law, that are not required by Congress,” Miller concluded.
Nothing Trump ordered was out of the ordinary and the appeals courts should uphold Trump’s order.
But Heinrich was adding to the confusion by buying into the fake news media lies.
And that’s not why viewers tune in to Fox News.
