Disney and NBA executives are calling emergency all-hands-on-deck meetings after Donald Trump threw them this vicious curveball

Donald Trump has done the impossible.

Not by winning back the White House, but by making America First Republicans “cool.”

And now Disney and NBA executives are calling emergency all-hands-on-deck meetings after Donald Trump threw them this vicious curveball.

Something different is in the air

The lasting legacy of the late, great Andrew Breitbart may be that he beat one important adage into the minds of Republicans – “Politics is downstream of culture.”

And perhaps it’s that phrase that explains why something just feels different in the air since the November election and as America heads into 2025.

Daniel Penny is a free man, UFC Champions and NFL stars are doing the Trump dance, massive corporations are axing their DEI departments, Reagan was one of the top Stocking Stuffers this Christmas, and both CNN and MSNBC are in danger of being sold off by their respective parent companies.

But one thing does remain the same – woke entertainment still can’t put butts in the seats.

Disney bombs at the box office – again

Disney is still battling boycotts that started when the company decided to go to war against Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis.

They lost that war, and in the process exposed the woke nature of its content aimed at indoctrinating children.

Disney has suffered one box office flop after another since going woke, and they added another bomb to the list this past weekend.

The mega media conglomerate was putting a lot of eggs in the Mufasa: The Lion King basket.

But the supposed “live-action” (it’s mostly CG) prequel to the beloved Lion King tale failed to meet expectations in its opening weekend.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie only netted an estimated $35 million in its debut.

That’s nearly $25 million below expectations, and it came in a distant second at the box office to Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

The NBA is on the defense

And Disney isn’t the only woke legacy failing with fans.

The NBA keeps throwing up bricks with viewers since going woke.

Future first-ballot Hall of Famers LeBron James and Steph Curry, along with championship-winning head coach Steve Kerr, all threw their weight behind Kamala’s candidacy.

The league that ran an entire season in a “bubble” to virtue signal for unconstitutional and unconscionable COVID restrictions.

League officials forced out a general manager for siding with Hong Kong protestors over China and even made an owner sell his team for using fairly pedestrian locker room talk with employees.

And the NBA painted Black Lives Matter logos on the court, made players wear so- called “pride” jerseys, and protested the National Anthem.

Because of all that, Bounding into Sports is reporting NBA ratings are down 35% year-over year.

Worse yet for the league, ratings are down a whopping 48% since 2012.

LeBron James blames it on three-pointers, while Commissioner Adam Silver delusionally ignored the problem during a recent interview with The Athletic.

Donald Trump sets records for Army-Navy game

But there’s still one man who can put the butts in the seats.

That man is President-elect Donald J. Trump.

The news media covers him wall-to-wall.

Trump has to turn away people from his rallies after selling out auditoriums all over the country.

And the President-elect’s mere attendance at the traditional Army-Navy college football game just made history.

Part of the hoopla surrounding Trump and his Vice President-elect J.D. Vance’s attendance at the game could be because President Joe Biden skipped the annual game all four years of his solo term in the White House.

But before Trump even takes over, he’s already showing up, and it’s already paying dividends.

According to Fox News, the yearly match up in Landover, Maryland pulled in record ratings for CBS this year.

Fox News is reporting “America’s Game” drew an average of 9.4 million viewers, the most since at least 1990, and a 31% increase over last year’s game.

CBS took over the broadcasting rights for the game in 1996, so Trump – and the air of patriotism that has come with his second election – helped bring CBS its highest-ever rating for the Army-Navy game.

It was also the 11th most-watched game of the college football season.

That’s of note because it’s typically the power conferences that dominate the ratings calendar.

Trump and Vance didn’t come alone.

Elon Musk, Pete Hegseth, Speaker Mike Johnson, and even Daniel Penny joined them in the luxury suite for the game.

As for the game itself, the Midshipmen scored a massive upset over the Black Knights, defeating them 31-12, and improving Navy’s lead in the all-time series to 63-55-7.
