Democrats are used to opposing everything that Donald Trump does.

The results of the election are causing some to rethink things.

And Democrats were speechless when they were told to learn this lesson from Donald Trump.

Radio host tells Democrats to take notes from Donald Trump

President-elect Donald Trump changed politics forever when he came down the golden escalator in 2015.

He broke all the usual rules of politics on his way to engineering the biggest political comeback in American history just a couple of months ago.

Nationally syndicated hip-hop and R&B morning radio host Charlamagne told Democrats that they needed to take a page from Trump’s playbook to be successful.

Democrats and their media allies melted down over a press conference that Trump held at Mar-a-Lago where he covered a wide range of topics including changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, acquiring Greenland and the Panama Canal, and ending the war on gas appliances.

Charlamagne said that Trump’s tell-it-like-it-is style killed the buttoned-down, scripted talking points that politicians typically stick to.

“Donald Trump shows me what’s politically possible,” Charlamagne said. “Trump shows me what Presidents can do if they want to do it. Donald Trump shows me what can be said if you are willing to say it. It’s not about what can’t be done; it’s about who has the political will to do it.”

He told Democrats he didn’t want to hear a word from them until they learned to say what’s really on their minds.

“Trump doesn’t care if it sounds ridiculous. Trump doesn’t care if it makes sense. It’s no political correctness whatsoever,” Charlamagne explained. “As I’ve been saying for years, the language of politics is dead, and Donald Trump killed it. Period.”

Trump’s free-wheeling style was a breath of fresh air compared to the inauthentic style of most politicians.

Democrats are in trouble after burning their credibility with voters

Charlamagne noted that Democrats spent the entire election cycle – not to mention the better part of the past decade – calling Trump a “threat to democracy” and “fascist,” only to drop the act immediately after he won.

He argued that voters saw that as a sign that Democrats don’t really believe what they say.

“Democrats keep following these political norms and traditions, and it’s confusing because you can’t call a man a fascist and a dictator, but when he wins, throws all that rhetoric out the window — unless, of course, it was just politics and you never believed it,” Charlamagne explained.

That lack of authenticity would hurt them in the 2026 Midterm elections, according to the radio host.

“It’s almost like Democrats don’t realize how they screw themselves for the future because the midterms are right around the corner,” Charlamagne stated. “The only thing they can hope for is that Republicans implode and F things up so bad that the American people are just dying for a change.”

“Because there is nothing Democrats can say about Republicans that we should believe after they spent weeks calling Trump a fascist and calling Republicans fascists and telling us it would be the end of democracy, only to put a button on all of that,” Charlamagne added.

Donald Trump rewrote the political playbook, and some Democrats are only now beginning to wake up to that fact.
