Democrats are going all-in on this last-ditch effort to put Donald Trump in prison before Inauguration Day

Both Democrats and many of his supporters believed that Donald Trump’s upcoming second inauguration would never actually happen.

But much to Democrats’ chagrin their efforts to torpedo his incoming administration have been for naught.

And now Democrats are going all-in on this last-ditch effort to put Donald Trump in prison before Inauguration Day.

Trump somehow pulled it off

A couple of years ago, very few people truly believed that President-elect Donald Trump would have a real chance at winning back the Presidency, much less make it to Election Day a free man.

He faced dozens of federal charges and Democrats weaponized the whole system against him.

But Trump took on his challenges head on one by one until he defeated them all.

And through the election, Democrats did everything they could to ruin his chances of winning through intimidation, baseless attacks, and even lawfare.

But like every challenger before, Democrats ultimately didn’t stand a chance against Trump at the end of the day.

And when it comes to his historic victory, we all know how Election Night turned out.

His victory sent Democrats into a total panic.

Like never before in modern American politics, their lawfare and character assassination attacks weren’t enough to stop the Republican Presidential nominee from winning back the White House.

And ever since Trump’s decisive victory, everyone has noticed just how quiet and unprepared Democrats are for his incoming administration.

But Democrats are always thinking ahead to their next plan to push forward their radical agenda so we all know they have something to pull out of their sleeves to derail a Trump Presidency.

And it looks like we may finally be seeing firsthand what Democrats are planning to do to keep Trump out of the Oval Office before he is sworn in.

Trump to be imprisoned by Inauguration Day?

Trump was convicted in his New York state “hush money” witch hunt back in the summer, and it sent shockwaves across America.

However, due to the pending election, the judge on the case decided to postpone sentencing until after the election.

Now that Trump has secured victory, his legal team has requested that no sentencing take place against Trump due to the doctrine of Presidency immunity.

Rather than following the law, Judge Juan Merchan decided to make law on his own out of thin air as he is now denying Trump Presidential immunity.

Late last week, Judge Merchan released a ruling stating “Defendant’s motion for a stay of these proceedings, including the sentencing hearing scheduled for January 10, 2025, is hereby DENIED.”

As you can imagine, the idea of going through criminal sentencing for a President-elect just ten days out from his inauguration is a little unsettling, to say the least.

Trump’s incoming communications director, Steven Cheung, told Fox News, “Today, President Trump’s legal team moved to stop the unlawful sentencing in the Manhattan D.A.’s Witch Hunt. The Supreme Court’s historic decision on Immunity, the state constitution of New York, and other established legal precedents mandate that this meritless hoax be immediately dismissed.”

“The American People elected President Trump with an overwhelming mandate that demands an immediate end to the political weaponization of our justice system and all of the remaining Witch Hunts,” Cheung added. “We look forward to uniting our country in the new administration as President Trump makes America great again.”

The odds of Trump being sent to jail are slim to none, but to even think this is a possibility is a cruel reminder of how close we were to living in a Democrat-controlled banana republic.
