California Found a 126-Year-Old Woman on Its Voter Rolls and She Had Something to Say About It

The California Secretary of State's official voter rolls listed a woman named Doris as 126 years old with a record of 51 elections.

Investigative journalist Nick Shirley knocked on her door and showed her the records.

What happened next pulled back the curtain on California’s election integrity nightmare.

Nick Shirley Exposes California Voter Rolls and What He Found Is Worse Than Anyone Admitted

Nick Shirley is the independent journalist who broke the Minneapolis fake daycare scandal – fake nonprofits, taxpayer millions, and Democrat officials who looked the other way.

Now he's on the ground in California doing the same thing to Gavin Newsom's voter rolls.

Shirley showed up at the door of a woman named Doris – listed on California's official rolls as 126 years old with 51 elections on her record.

Doris isn't 126. She was born in 1940, making her roughly 86 years old. When Shirley showed her the Secretary of State's own database, she didn't hedge.

"Well, the Secretary of State is wrong."

She's right. And Doris isn't the only one.

Shirley's investigation found over 100 people registered to vote at a single address, more than 30 voters registered to a UPS Store, and voters listed at ages that would require them to have been born before the Spanish-American War.

This isn't an accident. It's what happens when a state refuses to clean its voter rolls for years.

California Election Integrity Under Federal Investigation as Voter Roll Rot Goes Ignored

The Public Interest Legal Foundation reviewed a sample of two million active California registrants and found nearly 95,000 deceased voters still on the rolls, 57,725 people registered in California and at least one other state simultaneously, and 7,677 records carrying placeholder birthdates like "1/1/1900."

Judicial Watch sued California Secretary of State Shirley Weber over more than 870,000 registrations that remained active despite the voters dying or moving out of state.

The Senate had a chance to address exactly this. The SAVE Act passed the House 218-208. It would have required proof of citizenship to register, mandated states cross-reference rolls against federal databases, and given investigators the tools to remove ineligible voters.

Chuck Schumer called it voter suppression and Democrats blocked it.

The U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California announced multiple open election fraud investigations, citing what his office described as serious structural problems in the state's election system. Donald

Trump had flagged the issue the day before on Truth Social, pointing to what he called "big cheating by the Democrats in California."

The voter rolls Shirley is exposing on doorsteps are the same rolls federal prosecutors are now circling.

Gavin Newsom Built This System and Now the DOJ Is Knocking

Gavin Newsom built a system where a real grandmother has to stand at her front door and explain to a journalist that she was not, in fact, born before the Wright Brothers flew at Kitty Hawk.

And the state that did this to her also harvests her neighbor's ballot, counts votes for a month after Election Day, and doesn't ask a single person to prove they're an American citizen before they cast one.

Newsom's office dismissed Shirley's February investigation as a non-story, calling him "Slow Shirley" and telling him to enroll in community college.

Now Shirley's back with a 126-year-old woman on camera contradicting California's own official records in real time – and federal prosecutors have opened fraud investigations into the same system Newsom spent months defending.

That's why 1.3 million Californians signed a petition to put voter ID on the November 2026 ballot. They've seen what Shirley is seeing.

The question was never whether California's voter rolls were a disaster. Judicial Watch and PILF documented that years ago. The question was whether anyone would stand on doorsteps and put a face to it.

Doris just became that face. And all she had to do was tell the truth.
