Black voters have historically been the Democrat Party’s most loyal and dependable voting bloc.
But the Biden-Harris regime’s failed inflationary economic policies have some black voters looking elsewhere.
And Byron Donalds burst Charlamagne’s bubble by revealing this one fact about Kamala Harris and inflation.
Exit polling from 2020 indicated that President Joe Biden won 87% of the black vote in the last Presidential Election.
But 87% is not as high as it was before former President Donald Trump emerged on the scene and made inroads with black voters.
Democrats have historically been able to count on winning around 90% of the black vote in federal elections.
But Trump won a higher percentage of the non-white vote in 2020 than any Republican since 1960.
With Vice President Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket, Democrats were hoping to shore up the support they’ve lost among black voters over the past few years.
But a recent poll from the swing state of Georgia gave Democrats a reason for concern.
“Just 86% of Democrats and 77% of black voters back Harris, roughly 10 points below the mark Democrats aim to hit,” the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported. “About 12% of black voters — the most reliable bulwark of Democratic support in Georgia — say they haven’t made up their minds.”
Charlamagne is the host of The Breakfast Club, the most popular, nationally syndicated hip-hop and R&B morning radio show on-air today.
His show is a mandatory stop for any Democrat candidate in a major election.
But on Tuesday, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) appeared for an interview on The Breakfast Club to discuss the current Presidential race.
Donalds is one of Trump’s biggest supporters in Congress.
He was considered a top choice for Vice President earlier in the campaign.
Donalds began by pointing out that America is “not really thriving right now” due to inflation.
“This inflation, which, by the way, was brought to us by Kamala Harris, has really slowed down people from being able to excel,” Donalds said about Kamala’s role in inflation.
Charlamagne was confused that Donalds blamed Kamala for inflation.
“By Kamala?” he asked Donalds.
“Yes!” he fired back.
Charlamagne then asked Donalds to explain how Kamala Harris could be responsible for inflation given she is the Vice President.
And Donalds simply pointed to her tie-breaking vote for the trillions of dollars in spending on the Biden-Harris “American Rescue Plan” that kicked off the inflation crisis.
“When Joe Biden wanted to do his American rescue plan, Kamala Harris was the tie breaking vote in the United States Senate,” he said. “She broke the tie and started this inflation that has hurt so many people in our country.”
Since Donalds knew Charlamagne would be skeptical of his claim since he’s a Republican, he offered up more proof that Kamala Harris is responsible for inflation.
Donalds simply quoted an op-ed penned by former Clinton Treasury Secretary and Obama economic advisor Larry Summers.
“[Summers] said that the American rescue plan that Joe Biden wanted, that Kamala Harris was a tie-breaking vote in the United States Senate, would create a massive inflation that we have not seen in a generation,” he said. “Well, guess what? Larry Summers was correct.”
Donalds told The Breakfast Club audience that he warned about inflation when debating the bill in Committee.
“I was in the budget committee when they brought the bill, and I said in that committee, it’s going to cause massive inflation,” Donalds said. “That’s what happened.”
Polls show inflation and the economy is the top issue for voters next month.
Voters give Donald Trump higher marks on the economy than Kamala Harris.
And Byron Donalds is making sure all voters know that Kamala Harris is responsible for the high prices at the store.
