Jim Jordan is ready to go to war against New York’s corrupt justice system.

He unveiled a plan that no one saw coming.

And now Alvin Bragg is sweating bullets after Jim Jordan put him in this awful situation.

Jordan threatens New York Democrat Attorney General with a subpoena

Manhattan District Attorney’s Office prosecutor Matthew Colangelo is at the center of a new investigation by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).

Colangelo is the link between Soros-backed Manhattan Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg and President Joe Biden.

He left his job as the acting Associate Attorney General in the Biden Justice Department– the third highest-ranking position at the Department of Justice – to join the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in December 2022.

Taking a demotion from a top position in the Biden regime to take a job at a local prosecutor’s office raised eyebrows.

In a statement announcing his hiring, Bragg said Colangelo was brought on specifically for the Trump investigation.

“Matthew Colangelo brings a wealth of economic justice experience combined with complex white-collar investigations, and he has the sound judgment and integrity needed to pursue justice against powerful people and institutions when they abuse their power,” Bragg wrote.

Colangelo previously worked for New York Democrat Attorney General Letitia James on her investigation into former President Donald Trump and his businesses.

Jordan wrote a letter warning James that she would be subpoenaed if she didn’t turn over information about Colangelo’s time working in her office.

The Ohio Republican noted that James had failed to comply with subpoenas in the past.

“The Committee is continuing to conduct oversight of politically motivated prosecutions by state and local officials,” Jordan wrote. “Popularly elected prosecutors, such as New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg, have engaged in an unprecedented abuse of authority by prosecuting a former President of the United States and current leading candidate for that office.”

“Notably, Bragg’s prosecution has been led in part by Mr. Colangelo, a former prosecutor in your office and subsequent senior Justice Department official in the Biden Administration,” he continued. “As such, the Committee continues to seek information and documents related to Mr. Colangelo’s employment at the New York Attorney General’s Office.”

James was behind the frivolous civil fraud lawsuit against Trump, which saw him get hit with a $355 million verdict.

Colangelo is a key player in the Trump witch hunts

Colangelo and Bragg are scheduled to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on July 12, the day after Trump is scheduled to be sentenced in the sham Manhattan case.

Jordan tried to get Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland to turn over documents and communications from Colangelo’s time at the Justice Department related to Trump.

Predictably, the Biden Justice Department claimed that none existed.

Garland said when Colangelo left the Justice Department in December 2022 that he relied on his “wise counsel and excellent judgment” since becoming Attorney General.

Jordan noted that Colangelo’s career seems to be moving from one Trump case to another.

“Mr. Colangelo’s recent employment history demonstrates his obsession with investigating a person rather than prosecuting a crime,” Jordan wrote last month.

The Biden regime installed a high-level official in Bragg’s office during the Trump investigation to provide a helping hand.
