At one time Alexandria Ocasio Cortez said that criminals who loot retail stores shouldn’t be held accountable for their crimes because they are merely taking food to feed their families.
The loud-mouthed woke extremist always seems to have plenty to say about a variety of issues in her district and the country at large.
But now Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has gone into hiding after her Congressional District was exposed as a third-world hellscape.
AOC is missing in action
Several areas in Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ (D-NY) Congressional District have been overtaken by criminals and prostitutes.
Streets along Roosevelt Avenue in Queens, including communities like Corona, Jackson, Heights, and Elmhurst, are now littered with trash and illegal vendors who have overrun the sidewalks.
Many parts of AOC’s district have large illegal alien populations, prompting residents there to say that the area is suffering under “Third World” conditions.
People stand outside and cook food on the streets with no health inspections or certifications, while birds swoop down to feed on the leftovers, leaving their droppings behind.
Locals call one street the “Avenue of the Sweethearts,” a much nicer nickname than what it really is – an area heavy with blatant prostitution.
These areas are right in the heart of the Queens borough just under the main subway track that serves a major artery connecting Manhattan and its schools to families.
A lot of those families walk down the subway steps almost every day, only to be met by swarms of solicitors and criminals.
One man pushed his son in a stroller right past a group of five sex workers, according to a recording from Fox News.
Some residents have said students walk by prostitutes every day on their way to school or to other places like the local taekwondo centers located along the busy street there.
The situation has gotten so out of control that kids of all ages now look directly at female Asian and Hispanic sex workers in broad daylight on the sidewalks, yet AOC has remained silent through it all.
But people are starting to speak out, including former New York City Mayoral candidate and Guardian Angels founder Curtis Silwa.
The locals have been “forsaken”
Silwa took to social media platform X to express his discontent with not just the lawlessness, but the fact that AOC has “forsaken” the “community of hard-working families” who live there.
He wrote, “I’m out in Corona in Queens with community advocate Ramses Frias @ramses4qns as he shows us the brothels that have been terrorizing the community with illegal prostitution, violent crime and garbage everywhere.”
Silwa also asked where the police were and called out the community’s “socialist Congresswoman AOC” who has completely ignored the issue.

This isn’t the first time that AOC’s district has been called out for turning into a third-world hellscape.
Back in March, the district made the news for the very same issues that continue to plague it today.
Yet, AOC continues to remain completely silent, almost as if she’s hiding from her constituents.
Resident Ramses Frias spoke out about the crime and criminals in March, saying, “There are no repercussions; they get a free pass.”
It’s clear nothing has changed since and likely won’t change until AOC is voted out of office and someone who actually cares about the district is voted in.
