Democrats Won the Midterms on Affordability and Ro Khanna Just Revealed the Real Agenda

Democrats spent two years telling voters they were the party of affordable groceries, cheap gas, and an end to the Iran war.

They won both chambers of Congress and Ro Khanna had already posted his real reaction right after.

The first thing out of his mouth after Democrats won had nothing to do with your grocery bill.

Ro Khanna Declared DEI Is Back Before the Midterm Results Were Even Final

The votes were barely counted when California Rep. Ro Khanna took to X with his victory post.

Gas prices, the cost of eggs, the Iran war that drove Democratic gains across the map – none of it rated a mention.

"Tonight, DEI is back as America celebrated diversity and inclusion," Khanna posted. "Likely three black governors, the first Latina governor in Texas, the first Muslim-American senator, the first gay senator. I love this America."

That is a California socialist celebrating an election that working-class voters in Ohio, Kansas, and Texas never intended to be about diversity milestones.

DEI was one of the top reasons voters rejected the Biden-Harris agenda in 2024. Men in women's sports, corporate diversity mandates, and the culture war Democrats spent four years forcing on America drove working-class voters to Trump in numbers that shocked the Left.

Khanna knows exactly what voters think about DEI – he just does not care.

His allies launched a 2028 presidential draft campaign the same morning – apparently he believes DEI mandates are a winning platform in a general election.

The voters who crossed party lines over $5 gas and $8 eggs are about to find out.

Democrats Already Have a 181 Page Plan to Investigate Corporate America and Nothing to Lower Your Gas Bill

While Khanna was posting about diversity milestones, senior congressional Democrats had a different document on their desks.

The Washington Sun reported this morning that House Democrats on the Judiciary and Oversight committees have been studying a 181-page dossier prepared by the left-wing think tank Groundwork Collaborative – a document authored by former staffers for Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders that identifies hundreds of corporate executives and companies for Democrats to drag before Congress next year.

The targets: natural gas firms, grocery chains including Walmart, private prisons, the biggest tech companies, AI labs, and nursing home operators.

Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, the top Democrat on House Judiciary, confirmed his staff has already been reviewing it.

House Judiciary Democrats are already posting job listings to staff the investigation operation.

Democrats call this an affordability agenda. The voters who sent them to Washington to lower grocery prices are about to get congressional hearings and corporate subpoenas instead.

Trump's veto pen kills every piece of legislation Democrats want to pass – the Obamacare subsidies, the Medicaid restoration, the Iran war resolutions – and they need two-thirds of both chambers to override it, which they do not have. So they will do what they can do without a presidential signature: investigate.

Two years of subpoenas, depositions, and prime-time hearings – none of which reduce your gas bill by a penny and all of which feed directly into the fundraising emails Democrats will have written before the first gavel drops.

Jeffries has said publicly that impeachment remains an option; Fox News Radio reported in October that proceedings would begin the moment Democrats took the House.

Pelosi's Democrats tried this exact playbook after 2018 – impeached Trump twice, watched the Senate acquit him both times, and handed him the persecution narrative he rode back to the White House in 2024.

New York Post columnist Isaac Schorr saw the problems coming before the results were even final. Democrats are "equally likely to give themselves a years-long hangover – by reminding Americans of who they really are."

Voters' last memory of Democrat governance was Joe Biden's open border, Kamala Harris's inflation, the Taliban surrender in Afghanistan, and the Ukraine invasion that followed.

Voters sent Democrats back to Washington to lower gas prices and fix affordability.

Within 24 hours, they are circulating a 181-page corporate investigation plan written by Elizabeth Warren's former staffers and celebrating that DEI is back.

The voters who thought they were voting for lower gas prices just voted for something else entirely.
