US attorneys in three states caught illegal aliens using dead Americans' Social Security numbers – and refused to prosecute.
Now Trump's team just pulled off the largest Social Security data overhaul in the agency's 90-year history.
What they found in 50 million corrupted records explains why Democrats spent years fighting this cleanup tooth and nail.
Illegal Aliens Were Stealing Social Security Numbers From Americans and Prosecutors Did Nothing
Social Security Administration Commissioner Frank Bisignano confirmed to Fox News this week that the agency is scrubbing its records at a scale never before attempted in its history.
Seventeen million Americans had died – but their Social Security numbers remained active in the federal database with no death date ever recorded.
Twenty-five million files had no citizenship information whatsoever.
Another 8.5 million records listed the wrong citizenship status entirely.
That's more than 50 million compromised files sitting inside the database designed to protect your retirement dollars.
Multiple federal agencies – from DHS to the IRS to state voter registration offices – cross-reference SSA data to authorize everything from benefit payouts to employment eligibility.
Every time an illegal alien slipped into that system with a fake or borrowed SSN, they gained access to that entire web of federal services – and your tax dollars went with them.
The Trump administration pulled in the State Department to add those 17 million missing death records.
DHS updated the 25 million files with missing citizenship data.
Together, they corrected the 8.5 million inaccurate citizenship records on top of that.
None of it is routine maintenance – it's a federal emergency cleanup of a system Democrats spent decades pretending was fine.
Social Security Identity Theft Hit 1.2 Million Cases and Democrats Called It Fine
Between 2011 and 2016, the IRS documented more than 1.3 million cases of identity theft committed by illegal aliens who had been issued Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers.
In 2017 alone, approximately 1.2 million illegal aliens filed tax returns using someone else's Social Security number.
The Social Security Administration has acknowledged that roughly 75 percent of illegal aliens working in America use fake or stolen Social Security numbers – meaning three out of every four had someone else's identity in their pocket, or a number they invented, while Biden's Justice Department looked the other way.
A government audit confirmed illegal aliens were caught using Social Security numbers belonging to dead Americans to get work in this country.
U.S. attorneys in Arizona, Florida, and South Carolina declined to prosecute a federal felony.
The House passed the Consequences for Social Security Fraud Act specifically because illegal aliens caught committing SSN fraud were facing zero legal accountability.
Trump said it out loud at the June 2024 debate that drove Biden off the ticket – the Biden administration was redirecting Social Security benefits to illegal aliens.
Vice President JD Vance didn't mince words about it – Democrats had deliberately opened the system to people with no legal right to be in it, and he said so publicly.
Social Security numbers don't just unlock benefit checks – multiple states allow voter registration using one, which means this was never just a benefits problem, it was an election integrity crisis the entire time.
The Social Security database wasn't broken by accident – it was a liability left wide open while illegal aliens walked through the door for years, and everyone in the Biden White House knew it.
Biden officials moved benefits to illegal aliens while prosecutors walked away from federal felonies, and when Trump started fixing it, Democrats screamed voter suppression – because all of them needed those 50 million corrupted records to stay exactly the way they were.
DOGE's audit of the SSA database found active records for people listed as over 360 years old – older than the United States itself.
That's not a clerical error – that's what a federal database looks like when nobody touches it for decades because fixing it would expose what they'd been allowing.
Trump cut off illegal alien access to Social Security benefits in his first months back in office, and this database cleanup is the next step – scrubbing the records that made the fraud possible in the first place.
Trump fixed fifty million corrupted records in months – ninety years of Democrat negligence, erased.
