Ilhan Omar Called Her Immigration Fraud Raid Political Persecution Until the Judge Who Signed the Warrant Was Named

Ilhan Omar spent a week screaming that Trump raided her home for political revenge.

Then the judge who approved the warrant stepped into the light.

And everything Omar just told America collapsed in a single moment.

Judge Matthew Sharbaugh Donated to Hillary and Still Found Probable Cause of Immigration Fraud

Democrats and their media allies have cried witch hunt since Rep. Ilhan Omar's Washington home was raided last week. They forgot one detail.

The man who signed the warrant is Judge Matthew Sharbaugh – a Clinton donor who twice clerked for Robert Wilkins, an Obama-appointed DC circuit judge Harry Reid crammed through in late 2013 right before Republicans took back the Senate.

The DC Circuit is the most reliably anti-Trump appellate court in the country.

Sharbaugh was elevated to magistrate judge in October 2024 by DC district judges who are overwhelmingly Obama and Biden appointees.

A judge installed by that crowd had every professional incentive to rule against the Trump DOJ – and he still found probable cause of federal crimes inside Ilhan Omar's home.

The Fourth Amendment bars judges from issuing warrants without probable cause, and Sharbaugh didn't rubber-stamp anything – he pushed back on prosecutors first, imposing restrictions on how DOJ could access Omar's documents because of her congressional status, then signed the warrant anyway.

Article III Project founder Mike Davis noted that the Supreme Court requires warrant-issuing judges to be neutral and detached – and by any measure, Sharbaugh is the last judge in Washington inclined to do the Trump DOJ any favors.

Omar's persecution story died the moment Sharbaugh's name came out.

Jeanine Pirro Opens Financial Disclosure Probe as Omar Faces Two Federal Investigations

DC U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro went on Fox News the day after the raid and confirmed her office had opened a second investigation – this one targeting Omar's congressional financial disclosures.

One year, Omar and her husband Tim Mynett reported combined assets of as much as $51,000.

The very next year, that figure exploded to as much as $30 million.

Then – after Republicans started asking questions – Omar quietly amended the filing back down to between $18,004 and $95,000.

She offered no explanation.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer had already requested financial records from two of Mynett's companies back in February.

Now Pirro's office is examining whether those numbers represent something far more serious than a bookkeeping error.

That's two simultaneous federal investigations targeting a sitting member of Congress.

The search warrant listed conspiracy, immigration fraud, and false statements as potential charges – and when agents left, they took Omar's cellphone, notebooks, and personal computers.

Grand jury subpoenas have already gone out to members of her family.

The Birth Date Discrepancy That Could Strip Ilhan Omar of Her Citizenship

Omar claims she was 17 years old when she became a citizen through derivative naturalization – meaning she automatically received citizenship when her father obtained it.

But in 2019, Omar's staff quietly changed her official birth year at the Library of Congress.

The original paperwork puts her at 18 when her father was naturalized – one year past the cutoff for derivative naturalization, and one year too old to have legally received it through him.

If she was never legally eligible for citizenship, she was never legally eligible to serve in Congress – and every vote she has cast since 2018 is legally suspect.

Article I of the Constitution requires seven years of citizenship to serve in the House of Representatives.

The Trump DOJ has made denaturalization a priority since January 2025, filing at least 163 cases.

There is no statute of limitations on denaturalization – the government stripped former Nazis of their citizenship decades after they entered America on fraudulent paperwork, and nothing in federal law prevents the same outcome here.

Omar called this a political hit job because it's the only card she has left.

But the judge who donated to Hillary, appointed by Obama and Biden judges, still looked at the evidence and found probable cause of federal crimes.

When even that judge can't say no, the evidence isn't political.
