The Democrat Party spent two years calling you a conspiracy theorist for saying Biden was mentally unfit.
Now one of their own top fundraisers just put it in writing — with dates.
What Harris said on that call — two days before Biden quit — is now on the record.
The Donor Call at the Center of the Biden Cover Up
Lindy Li was inside the room. Not a Republican operative, not a Fox News analyst — a Princeton-educated Democratic fundraiser who raised millions for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and sat on donor calls with the party's wealthiest contributors.
Her new book, Unburdened, published this month by HarperCollins, documents what she saw and heard as the 2024 Biden campaign collapsed around her.
On July 19, 2024, Kamala Harris held a donor call with some of the biggest money in the Democrat Party. Her message: Biden isn't going anywhere.
"Kamala Harris held a call saying that there was no way that Biden would drop out and that she would stick with him until the end," Li told Fox News Digital. "And these were some of the biggest donors in the party."
Biden announced his withdrawal on July 21.
Li says Harris wasn't being loyal. While pledging fidelity to Biden on those calls, Harris had quietly banned her own staff from even discussing her path to the nomination.
"It was all charade," Li said. "She was auditioning for Biden's endorsement, and the way that she did it was by imposing a fake rule on her staff to not talk about her ascending to the nomination."
How the Richest Donors in the Party Reacted to the Harris Cover Up
These weren't small-dollar online contributors. They were the people who fund the campaigns, own the consultants, and make the phone calls that move candidates in and out of races.
They weren't fooled.
"A lot of us have group chats," Li recalled. "And the immediate reaction is what an effing waste of time. What a charade, how fake."
Li didn't soften it: "These are like the wealthiest people in the country saying that. They were very aware they were being lied to, that Biden was clearly not okay and to be told that he was okay when he was clearly incapacitated. It was insulting."
The moment Biden stepped aside, Harris launched what Li describes as an aggressive charm offensive — flattering donors, consolidating support, and making clear that Biden had given her his backing.
"She was flattering people left and right. The first 24 hours were a very intensive charm offensive on her part," Li said. "She flattered people up the wazoo."
Li adds that Biden's endorsement wasn't the foregone conclusion Harris made it appear. "Biden initially — I don't know if people know this, but he didn't want to endorse her right away. It took him a while."
The Biden Cognitive Decline Cover Up Now Has a Paper Trail
Republicans called this cover-up in real time. Rep. Mike Lawler said it plainly in 2024: "She's been part of the effort to gaslight the country."
Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson documented the broader deception in Original Sin, showing that Democrat insiders watched Biden deteriorate for months without saying a word publicly. The Washington Post editorial board — no friend to conservatives — concluded that the White House's cover-up of Biden's decline cost the party its claim to stand for truth.
What separates Li's account is the timestamp. July 19. Donor call. Harris swearing Biden is staying in. Two days later, he was gone — and she was already running.
The irony writes itself: Harris is now working the donor circuit again, quietly laying groundwork for a 2028 presidential run. The same wealthy Democrats she charmed into line in July 2024 are the ones she'll need to win over again.
Multiple reports show most of them aren't buying it this time. One major California donor told ABC News earlier this year: "I have not heard one person suggest it would be good for anything if she ran."
They remember July 19 too.
