Democrats spent four years insisting Joe Biden was sharp as a tack.
Then one of their own went on Fox News and said the quiet part out loud.

Jill Biden's upcoming memoir, View from the East Wing, dropping June 2, sparked a debate about the cover-up involving her husband’s mental decline on The Five.
Left-wing co-host Jessica Tarlov was complaining – and Democrats are genuinely furious – that the former First Lady is forcing the party to relitigate a chapter they desperately want buried.
"What makes this very difficult," Tarlov said, "is it's such an unfair test of elected Democrats, people in work, in Washington, rank and file Democrats, people who donate, who care about these election results."
She was building toward a familiar talking point about moving on and winning future elections.
Then she said it.
"Moving past having to talk about sundowning – well, at least for Joe Biden, we can talk about it for Trump – and then this is back for no reason. He falls asleep all the time."
Greg Gutfeld started laughing.
"Do not laugh," Tarlov warned.
That made everything better.
Gutfeld Calls Out Biden Sundowning on Live Television
Gutfeld zeroed in immediately.
"You're calling Trump sundowning. That is rich – people know what that means. That is a symptom of Alzheimer's. Just to be clear."
Tarlov had done what four years of conservative media could not force a single Democrat to do on television.
She confirmed that sundowning – the Alzheimer's-associated cognitive symptom – was a real and active conversation Democrats were having privately about Joe Biden.
Not Republicans. Democrats.
Specifically, the liberal co-host of The Five, hired to represent the left.
Gutfeld didn't miss it.
"You guys used him as a Trojan horse, and now you're paying for it," he said. "He was an old, empty, white male you foisted on the American public to trick them into thinking they were going to get a moderate president. Instead, you had an empty shell of a demented man who implemented tons of radical B.S., and now you're paying the price. I don't sympathize."
Biden Cognitive Decline Cover-Up Goes All the Way to the Top
This was not a one-woman operation.
Fox News reporting confirmed that top Democrat House leaders – Hakeem Jeffries, Katherine Clark, Pete Aguilar, and others – made dozens of White House visits right up until Biden's catastrophic June 2024 debate.
Every one of them publicly backed Biden as sharp, capable, and fit for office.
Then the debate happened.
Biden blanked mid-sentence, claimed "we finally beat Medicare," and mumbled through answers that left the Democrat Party in visible panic.
The Wall Street Journal reported that aides witnessed signs of deterioration dating back to the earliest months of Biden's presidency – 2021.
Senator John Cornyn put it plainly on Fox News: Democrats were "trying to prop up President Biden when he clearly wasn't up to the job" as "an attempt – a failed attempt – to hold on to political power."
Tarlov's single word confirmed every bit of it.
What Jill Biden Is Actually Doing
The memoir is not about healing or honesty.
Jill Biden told CBS she thought her husband was "having a stroke" during the debate – then took him to a Waffle House afterward.
She now insists publicly she never saw indications of cognitive decline, while privately admitting she watched him and feared he was incapacitated in real time.
The Federalist reported that a primary goal of the memoir is to dispel accusations that she was the hidden hand keeping a cognitively impaired president in office past what his mind and body could sustain.
Democrats running for future office are furious the book exists.
Every one of them is hoping voters forget the years they spent calling conservatives liars for asking the most obvious question in American politics.
They won't forget.
Republicans are demanding transparency, accountability, and answers about what happened behind those White House doors – and they are not stopping.
One word on live television confirmed two years of conservative reporting, and Democrats have nobody to blame but themselves.
