Tom Homan Just Ended the Democrat Stunt to Shut Down ICE Deportations in One Sentence

Democrats spent Memorial Day storming an ICE facility in New Jersey with Antifa flags flying behind them.

Tom Homan went on Fox News and told them exactly how it ends.

He has been shutting this exact play down since Ronald Reagan was president.

DHS Says There Is No Hunger Strike at Delaney Hall

Hundreds of detainees at Delaney Hall, a privately run 1,000-bed ICE facility in Newark, New Jersey went on a labor and hunger strike Friday demanding releases and better conditions.

New Jersey Democrats flooded the zone all weekend – senators, a governor, protesters blocking entrances, and a human chain around the facility.

ICE pepper-sprayed the crowd Memorial Day when protesters blocked vehicles from moving.

Then the administration's response made the whole spectacle look even worse.

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin put the entire Democrat narrative on the ground.

Mullin went on social media to say: "There is NO hunger strike at Delaney Hall. There are no subprime conditions."

"Dozens of New Jersey sanctuary politicians chose to spend their Memorial Day weekend smearing ICE law enforcement," he wrote. "They should be thanking our law enforcement for removing these murderers, pedophiles, rapists and drug traffickers from their state."

Then Tom Homan went on The Ingraham Angle and delivered the message the hunger strikers needed to hear.

"Look, I have done this since 1984. Hunger strikes never work."

Forty-two years. Not one changed a deportation.

"If it gets bad enough and the prisoners feel like they're putting themselves in extreme danger, medical danger, then we'll force-feed them. We will get a court order and force-feed them."

Delaney Hall Has Been a Democrat Political Stunt Since Day One

This wasn't a spontaneous protest.

New Jersey Democrats have been using Delaney Hall as a prop since the facility opened under Trump's second term.

In May 2025, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested outside the jail on trespassing charges – charges that were later dropped, rewarding exactly the behavior Democrats wanted to encourage.

Rep. LaMonica McIver was separately charged with assaulting officers during the same incident.

In June 2025, four detainees escaped after dozens of others staged an uprising inside.

Memorial Day weekend 2026 – another round of protests, another Democrat senator getting pepper-sprayed, another governor demanding access she was denied.

Sen. Andy Kim tried to negotiate with ICE to stop the transfer of hunger-striking detainees to Texas and Louisiana.

ICE transferred them anyway.

ICE Detention Standards Beat Every State Prison in America

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill showed up claiming she was denied entry and that the denial itself proved something was being hidden.

DHS had a different answer.

"Governor Sherrill's visit to Delaney Hall is nothing more than a political stunt on Memorial Day, when visitation is currently suspended due to riots outside the facility," a DHS spokesperson said.

Sherrill's own protest was blocking the access she was demanding.

DHS confirmed detainees at Delaney Hall receive three meals daily, clean water, clothing, bedding, showers, and access to phones.

Homan went further on the standards question.

"Go to ice.gov and look at ICE's detention standards," he told Ingraham. "The highest detention standards in the industry, better than any state prison, county jail, or federal lockup. Deaths in custody in ICE is a fraction of any state prison or federal facility – a fraction."

Sen. Cory Booker called conditions "deplorable."

DHS called it a smear.

One of those parties runs the facility. The other showed up with Antifa flags on Memorial Day.

Tom Homan Has Been Force-Feeding Hunger Strikes Since 1984

Homan's force-feeding warning wasn't bluster.

Courts have been authorizing ICE to force-feed hunger-striking detainees going back to 2012 – it happened under Obama, it happened under Trump's first term, and it will happen again.

In El Paso in 2019, detainees who refused to eat for over a month were strapped to a bed three times a day while guards pushed a plastic tube through their nose and down their throat.

That is what force-feeding looks like.

Tom Homan has watched this play out enough times to describe the court order process on live television without checking a note.

Every detainee at Delaney Hall who saw that interview now knows exactly what comes next.

Most hunger strikes end the moment the tube enters the room.

The Democrat Strategy to Stop ICE Deportations Has Failed Every Time

Democrats have no legislation to stop deportations.

Every legal challenge to the administration's detention authority has failed to hold.

A year of protests at Delaney Hall produced zero policy changes, one mayoral arrest, one congressional assault charge, and a facility that is still open, still detaining, and still deporting.

Democrats brought Antifa flags to honor the fallen.

Tom Homan brought forty-two years of experience and a four word answer.

"Hunger strikes never work."
