Candace Cameron Bure Delivered One Message About Faith in Washington That the Left Can’t Stand

Hollywood took Candace Cameron Bure's contracts, her partnerships, and her friendships.

She didn’t back down.

And what she told the world from the steps of the Museum of the Bible this week should terrify every Democrat in the country.

Full House Star Leads the Largest Bible Reading in American History

Actress Candace Cameron Bure is the national spokesperson for "America Reads the Bible" — a seven-day, 84-hour continuous reading of Scripture at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.

Nearly 500 Christians from all walks of life gathered this week to do something that has never been done in American history.

They read the entire Bible out loud, from Genesis to Revelation, nine hours a day, seven straight days.

More than 115 ministries participated.

President Trump joined from the Oval Office Tuesday evening, reading 2 Chronicles 7:14 — the same verse Dwight Eisenhower swore his presidential oath on in 1953 and Ronald Reagan proclaimed at the 1984 National Day of Prayer.

Bure read from Genesis chapters 6 through 8.

And when she stepped off that stage, she made clear exactly what it cost her to be there.

In 2022, she said publicly that Great American Family would keep traditional marriage at the core of its programming.

The backlash was immediate.

"It resulted in contract losses and partnerships that dissolved and went away, and friendships that just disappeared," she said.

"And it just felt like it was never-ending. I felt like I was on a witness stand for a year, and it felt awful."

She kept asking herself one question.

"Do those things matter more than my relationship with God?"

Her answer never changed.

"I'm going to stand before God on judgment day, not anybody else," she said at Saturday's opening ceremony.

"I will choose Him every single time."

What Candace Cameron Bure Said About Gen Z and the Christian Revival Has Democrats Rattled

Bure appeared on Fox News' The Story and told America exactly why she was standing three blocks from the U.S. Capitol.

"It is such an exciting time in history," she said.

She is talking about something the media cannot spin.

"Never has this been done," she told Fox News, "to read the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, in such a public platform, to join all Americans together — from entertainers to government officials, to pastors, to moms and dads, to educators, nurses. It's American people reminding ourselves of who God is in our life."

She said the event is not about perfect people performing religion for the cameras.

"We're a bunch of imperfect people reminding ourselves that we need to be humble, and God is a God above all else."

And then she said what the press spent zero seconds covering.

"God gives us that peace overall when we follow His ways," she told Fox News. "And so, more young people are realizing that. They are having encounters with God, and it is so exciting to see."

Barna Group data collected through July 2025 shows Gen Z churchgoers now attend nearly twice a month — almost double where they were in 2020.

For the first time in modern recorded history, young men are attending church at higher rates than young women.

In the UK, the Bible Society documented the same turn — young men between 18 and 24 went from a 4% monthly church attendance rate in 2018 to 21% in 2024.

Democrats built their entire coalition on the assumption that young Americans would finish the job of secularizing this country.

That assumption is collapsing.

The Greatest Love Story You Will Ever Read

Bure has read the entire Bible cover to cover every single year.

She spoke about it at Saturday's opening ceremony.

"I cannot imagine a day going by without it," she said. "I need it. I want it. I crave it. It is my time with God."

She described what she finds every time she opens it.

"The Bible shows us who God is. He is such a patient God. He is so merciful. He is so kind. And He, most of all, is so loving. And the Bible is the greatest love story you will ever read and know in your entire life."

She said the same patience she finds in Scripture is what she wants every believer to hold onto.

"When you read the Bible in chronological order, it is the greatest love story you'll ever read in a book because He is so patient throughout the ages, throughout the years," she told Fox News. "And He's still patient with each and every one of us today, just waiting with open arms."

Hollywood told her that kind of talk was career poison.

She came to Washington and said it into a microphone in front of the whole country instead.
