Kamala Harris lost to Donald Trump by seven million votes and she is already organizing to stop him from filling his next Supreme Court seat.
Trump hasn't even nominated anyone yet.
What Harris is quietly building behind the scenes should alarm every conservative in America.
Demand Justice Already Forced One Justice Out and Now They Have New Targets
Demand Justice spent a full year running a pressure campaign against Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer – petitions, protests, op-eds, and a billboard truck that circled the Court building day after day with one message: "Breyer, Retire."
Breyer was 83 years old.
He quit.
The day his retirement was announced, Demand Justice published a piece on their own website titled: "Stephen Breyer, Shamed By Your Tweets, Will Retire From Supreme Court."
That is a political machine that figured out how to remove justices it doesn't like – and it has already named its next targets: Clarence Thomas, 77, and Samuel Alito, 76.
Last week, Alito was rushed to a Philadelphia hospital after falling ill at a Federalist Society dinner held in his honor.
He was treated for dehydration and released the same night.
He has been back on the bench since – and sources close to him tell CNN he has contemplated retirement.
Group president Josh Orton put a price tag on the operation: $3 million to launch, $15 million more if a vacancy actually opens.
Harris used her platform on X to push the effort, telling followers: "We cannot allow Donald Trump to hand pick one, if not two, additional justices."
The Democrat Court Packing Plan Harris Is Now Bankrolling
James Carville laid out the roadmap on his podcast – elect a Democrat in 2028, form a "transition advisory committee," recommend expanding the Court from nine to thirteen justices.
Harvard professor Michael Klarman was blunter: Republicans "will never win another election" if Democrats lock in the right structural advantages – but the Supreme Court could block every one of those changes.
So pack the Court first.
That is the plan Harris is amplifying.
It failed once before – spectacularly.
FDR tried the same scheme in 1937 after the Court kept blocking his New Deal legislation.
He had a Democrat supermajority in Congress and still couldn't get it done.
His own party killed it.
The Senate Judiciary Committee – controlled by Democrats – called it "an attempt to change the course of judicial decisions" that would destroy judicial independence forever.
Democrats lost 81 House seats and eight Senate seats in the next election.
The Left learned nothing.
The Dark Money and Soros Connections Behind the Campaign to Block Trumps Next SCOTUS Pick
If a vacancy opens, the pressure won't stop at billboard trucks.
Demand Justice is the same group whose allies turned the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation into a three-ring circus – activists screaming in Senate hallways, confronting Republican senators in elevators, a media campaign designed to make a yes vote feel like career suicide.
It only takes a couple RINOs with weak knees like Lisa Murkowski to kill a confirmation.
George Soros's Open Society Policy Center put $2.5 million into the group at launch in 2018 and more than $5.75 million since.
When Biden reached the White House, Demand Justice had two alumni already inside it.
Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki had worked as a communications consultant for the group.
Paige Herwige – Demand Justice's former Deputy Chief Counsel – became Biden's point person for judicial nominations.
The same organization that bullied an 83-year-old justice into retirement had its people selecting his replacement.
Now Harris is their megaphone – and if Democrats retake the White House in 2028, she is the mechanism that makes court-packing real.
Harris organizing against a vacancy that doesn't exist yet tells you how serious they are – and how little they think elections should actually decide.
