Kate Middleton and Prince William are in line to become the next king and queen of the United Kingdom.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are very different from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to one of their former Royal staffers.
Former Royal staffer Jason Knauf opened up about his time working for William and Kate during an interview with 60 Minutes Australia.
“Neither of the Prince or the Princess would choose to be public figures,” Knauf said.
William and Kate are focused on doing their Royal duties over getting their names in the headlines.
“They’re not that interested in the fame and celebrity that comes with it,” Knauf explained. “In fact, not really interested at all. I think that makes it quite interesting in today’s world to see people out there doing their jobs but for the right reasons.”
The Prince and Princess of Wales have become two of the most popular members of the British Royal Family.
Knauf revealed that the couple isn’t interested in trying to control their image on social media.
“I don’t think anyone can control the image of anyone in today’s media world, social media world,” Knauf stated. “You just can’t. All you can do is help people be themselves.”
“With both of these people, the prince and the princess, what you see is what you really get behind the scenes as well,” Knauf added.
Former Royal staffer made bombshell accusations against Meghan Markle
Knauf was the Press Secretary for William, Kate, Harry, and eventually Meghan from 2015 to 2019.
He worked with several charities that William and Kate established.
The former Royal staffer became famous for the bombshell allegation he made against Meghan.
Meghan was accused of bullying members of the Royal staff in 2018 after her marriage to Harry.
Knauf reportedly filed a complaint against Meghan over her bullying that Harry allegedly begged him not to do.
“I wouldn’t change anything,” Knauf said about how he handled the situation.
He hasn’t backed off the accusations that he made against Meghan.
The allegations he made in 2018 were leaked to the public before Harry and Meghan’s 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“Someone who is helping other people how to deal with the public eye . . . you probably have to take your own medicine sometimes,” Knauf said about the attention he received.
“You can’t choose just to take the fun stuff in any job, and that applies to the Prince and Princess as well as everyone else working for them,” Knauff continued. “So, I wouldn’t change anything.”
Knauff alleged that Meghan was bullying two junior staffers who had been assigned to her to the point that they quit rather than deal with her.
