Biden official received a $20 million grant from taxpayers
Former President Joe Biden was using the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a slush fund during his final weeks in office.
Biden’s EPA was doling out billions of taxpayer dollars to environmental activist groups with ties to the administration.

The CEO of an environmental activist group applied for and received a $20 million EPA grant while she was serving in the Biden administration on an advisory council.
Young, Gifted & Green CEO LaTricea Adams served on Biden’s Environmental Justice Advisory Council at the EPA from March 2021 until the end of the administration.
Biden’s EPA doled out a $20 million grant in December to Young, Gifted & Green through its Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Program.
$20 million was the maximum size of the grant under the program.
Adams applied for the EPA grant for Young, Gifted & Green while she was serving on the EPA’s Environmental Justice Advisory Council.
She received $20 million in taxpayer money from an agency she was working at.
The Biden administration was using environmental justice as cover to funnel money to political allies in its final days.
Biden administration took care of its friends with taxpayer money
New EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin blew the whistle on the grant to Young, Gifted & Green.
“The deep ties between the Biden-Harris administration, their donors, advisers, and grant recipients are a staggering wake-up call,” Zeldin told the Washington Free Beacon in a statement. “There will be zero tolerance for waste or abuse at EPA under the Trump administration.”
The EPA’s Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Program was created by the $1 trillion Inflation Reduction Act that Biden signed in 2022.
Grants from the program were supposed to be used to combat climate change in “disadvantaged communities.”
The Tennessee-based Young, Gifted & Green claimed the taxpayer-funded grant money was going to be used to help small businesses install solar panels and make low-income housing more energy-efficient in Memphis.
Zeldin vowed the EPA wouldn’t be handing out kickbacks under his watch.
“Being a good steward of American hard-earned tax dollars to protect human health and the environment is my top priority, not following the corrupt example of those who funneled funds through kickbacks and pass-throughs to far-left activists,” Zeldin stated.
Tax filings show that the EPA grant was by far the largest amount of money that Young, Gifted & Green had ever received.
The group had only raised $2.7 million since the nonprofit was founded in 2020 until the grant.
American Accountability Foundation executive director Tom Jones called for the EPA grant program to be shut down.
“These shocking revelations solidify the Biden administration’s legacy as the most corrupt in modern history,” Jones said. “While everyday Americans suffered under Bidenflation, rampant cronyism flourished—a disgrace that demands full investigation and accountability and proves once again the necessity for all these grants to be impounded by the Office of Management and Budget immediately.”
