A Delta Air Lines plane that departed from Minneapolis crashed while landing in Toronto on Monday.
Democrats blamed the crash on Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s dismantling of the federal bureaucracy.
But Chuck Schumer was fuming after Karoline Leavitt torched him for spreading this nasty lie about Donald Trump.
Donald Trump put Elon Musk in charge of DOGE and tasked him with finding the waste, fraud, and abuse within federal bureaucracies.
Musk instantly went to work on finding $1 trillion in government spending to cut.
DOGE shuttered the USAID, seized control of the Office of Personnel Management, slashed the General Services Administration’s budget by 50%, and canceled $1 billion in federal DEI contracts, just to name a few.
In just three weeks, DOGE has already terminated hundreds of millions of dollars worth of DEI contracts and has saved taxpayers over $55 billion.
Musk and his DOGE team are planning on auditing every federal agency, including the Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Education, the Department of Labor, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Energy, the Department of Transportation, and the Department of Commerce.
Of course, Democrats are in a state of panic over what they’re calling a “Constitutional crisis.”
They’re willing to do whatever it takes to stop DOGE’s audit of Executive Branch agencies.
On Monday, a Delta Air Lines plane flipped over while landing at the Toronto airport and burst into flames as it skidded across the snow-covered runway.
“The horrifying footage shows flames erupting out of Delta Flight 4819 as the plane skids on the ground amid harsh conditions, including blustery, 40-mph winds that sent snow swirling through the air,” the New York Post reported. “Massive orange flames can be seen sprouting out of the back of the plane before the fire eventually turns to a thick, black cloud of smoke.”
It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the plane to flip over, but that didn’t stop Chuck Schumer from blaming it on Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
“I’m thankful that everyone in the flight incident in Toronto that took off from Minneapolis is safe, but we keep seeing these incidents day after day,” Schumer wrote on X. “Meanwhile, Trump’s doing massive layoffs at the FAA—including safety specialists—and making our skies less and less safe,” he continued. “Democrats are fighting to protect the flying public.”

Schumer responded to his own post by addressing “those asking whether it matters that the plane’s destination was in Canada.”
“The flight took off from Minneapolis,” Schumer wrote. “The FAA was still responsible for inspecting the aviation equipment, and Trump just let go of FAA safety specialists.”
But White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt torched Chuck Schumer and set the record straight in an interview with Fox News.
She pointed out that the crash occurred in Canada, not the United States.
“And as you rightfully pointed out, John, this crash unfortunately took place in Canadian airspace with Canadian air traffic controllers overseeing it,” she said.
As for air traffic control, Leavitt said “that no air-traffic controllers have been let go by Secretary Duffy or this new administration.”
“In fact, Secretary Duffy has put great emphasis on hiring the best and the brightest air traffic controllers who want to be part of the FAA,” Leavitt said. “And President Trump signed a very strong executive order to ensure that the FAA and all federal government agencies are focused on merit and skill-based hiring,” she continued. “We want the best and the brightest, the most competent individuals in positions especially of public safety at the FAA, the Department of Transportation, and all departments across this federal government, so we can best serve the American people.”
