Fox News is willing to pick a fight with Donald Trump.
Trump won’t be happy over the subject matter.
And Fox News confronted Donald Trump over controversy from the 2024 election.
Fox host grills FCC Chair over investigation into CBS
Donald Trump sued CBS for $10 billion for what he alleges was election interference.
Trump’s bone of contention comes from 60 Minutes editing the video of an interview Kamala Harris gave to correspondent Bill Whitaker to make her look coherent.
Clips of the network’s Sunday show Face the Nation posted to social media prior to 60 Minutes showed Kamala stumbling through one of her trademark word salads in response to a question about the war in Gaza.
What 60 Minutes actually aired two days later showed Kamala crisply answering the same question.
New Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr announced an investigation into CBS and demanded the network hand over the unedited video footage of the Kamala Harris interview as well as the transcript.
CBS complied.
Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade pressed Carr on investigating CBS – President Trump calls CBS’ conduct a scandal so massive the network should lose its broadcasting license – and if it sent a precedent a future Democrat President could use to target Fox News or other conservative media outlets.
“Meanwhile, the other big story is 60 Minutes and you said you have to turn over the transcripts,” Kilmeade asked. “Are you worried about the precedent of asking for these transcripts? Because now everybody that has to edit down an interview with a high-profile figure will have the same situation?”
Carr said Democrats already set that precedent when the FCC opened a public proceeding into Fox.
“No, not at all,” Carr replied. “It’s actually interesting. Here is a precedent we’re following the precedent that the Democrat FCC set when it came to Fox. There was a complaint lodged against Fox, and so they opened up a public proceeding on that. And we’re simply applying that precedent.”
Carr said there was evidence that CBS showed two different answers to the same question, which made it easier to investigate.
“This is a rare situation where we had extrinsic evidence that CBS had only one answer, one set of words, and then swapped in, another said, and CBS has contact through this, frankly, has been concerning,” Carr added.
Carr noted that when CBS interviewed Vice President J.D. Vance, the network immediately posted the unedited transcript and so the FCC wanted to know why CBS took a different course of action when interviewing a Democrat Vice President.
“You know, look, they just did an interview with Vice President Vance and immediately fully disclosed the unedited transcript. For some reason, they decided not to do that in this case. And so we’ve now opened a proceeding. We think it’s in the public interest to allow people to participate in comments. And we’re going to take this one step at a time at the FCC,” Carr concluded.
Trump and his supporters suspect CBS kept the unedited video and transcript of Kamala’s interview under lock and key to avoid making her look like a moron.
Which is why Trump believes this was an act of election interference.
If you have the stomach for it, just try to give the unedited 54-minute interview a watch below.
My goodness.
CBS was just forced to release the FULL Kamala Harris interview that they butchered and severely edited to make her sound like she had a functional brain stem.
She does not. We dodged a bullet.
Kamala is retarded.
