Most political experts expect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to seek the Democrat Party’s Presidential nomination in 2028.
But Ocasio-Cortez just became an enemy to many Democrats with this truth bomb.
And Jon Stewart’s jaws hit the floor when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accused her Democrat colleagues of committing this serious crime.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) loves the public spotlight and will do anything for attention.
As the leader of the Squad, Ocasio-Cortez is one of the most left-wing Democrats in office.
Ocasio-Cortez recently appeared for an interview with Jon Stewart on his podcast The Weekly Show.
Stewart started the discussion by complaining about the fact that Democrats preserved “decorum” during Trump’s inauguration.
“In some ways, [Trump] clowns them,” he said. “It doesn’t look like holding to protocol, it looks like submission.”
He referred to the Democrat Party’s fierce opposition to Trump on the campaign trail as “performative.”
“When you’re creating apocalyptic messaging about a fascist,” he said before Ocasio-Cortez interrupted with “literally!”
She told Stewart that Trump is “so much more dangerous” this time around due to the fact that “he is much more normalized.”
But Ocasio-Cortez wanted to talk about more than Donald Trump and Republicans.
She also went after Democrats with one serious accusation about insider trading.
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has faced accusations of insider trading.
“Former Speaker of the House and current Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., is receiving attention once again due to her husband’s stock trading, this time over her spouse unloading Visa shares a few months before the federal government sued the company,” Fox Business reported. “Members of Congress on both sides of the political aisle have proposed legislation in recent years that would ban lawmakers and their family members from owning stock over concerns of insider trading.”
Of course, it’s not just Pelosi.
According to a study by Unusual Whales, Democrat stock portfolios in 2024 far outpaced the S&P 500.
Democrats were seven points higher than the S&P 500 and five points higher than their Republican colleagues.
This year, Democrats beat their Republican counterparts.
Dems were up 31% & Republicans +26%.
Meanwhile the S&P500 itself was up 24.9%.
Many traded, despite having conflicts between their committees and stock holdings.

Ocasio-Cortez called out Democrats for insider trading.
“The first time, people were really on edge, they were on guard, they were very vigilant about any break that he would have with these norms,” she said. “This time, the norms are becoming him – the norms are embracing him.”
“There needs to be Democrats who walk the walk and talk the talk,” Ocasio-Cortez told Stewart.
“There is an insane amount of hypocrisy, and the hypocrisy is what gets exploited to use as cynicism,” she continued. “For example, I think one of the biggest examples of this is insider trading in Congress.”
She said her colleagues take the intelligence of “everyday people” for granted.
“It’s so crazy, I mean, like, it’s the end of the thing, like, people think that every day people are stupid,” she said. “I’m like, ‘Do you all really think that people don’t see this s***?’”
Ocasio-Cortez added that Democrats can also be corrupted by money.
“And then we’re supposed to act like money only corrupts Republicans?” she said. “Give me a f***ing break.”

Like a broken clock, even Ocasio-Cortez gets it right every now and then.
And she is right about the hypocrisy in the Democrat Party.
