Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is ready to brawl with Republicans in control of Washington, D.C.
She learned a painful lesson about picking her battles.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez picked one fight that was the worst mistake of her life.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s anti-Trump tirade backfires on her
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is trying to position herself as one of the leaders of the Democrat resistance to President Donald Trump.
She went on a rant on social media where she claimed the country was being taken over by an “authoritarian administration” and claimed that Trump was ushering in “21st-century fascism.”
Ocasio-Cortez claimed that Trump and Republicans were going to try to take control of the media and companies.
ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith wasn’t impressed with Ocasio-Cortez’s latest fearmongering tirade on his podcast.
“Did you say control the media, AOC?” Smith asked. “Did you talk about controlling the media?”
Smith pointed out it was ridiculous for Ocasio-Cortez to accuse Republicans of being authoritarian bullies.
“So the Left hasn’t engaged in bullying tactics? ‘Woke’ culture didn’t exist?” Smith asked. “Where people had to make sure they echoed the right pronoun to keep their job security? Where one challenge to transgender issues meant being labeled transphobic?”
Ocasio-Cortez turns to the same failed Democrat playbook
Smith argued that Ocasio-Cortez was using the same tired argument that voters dismissed in the 2024 Election.
“This is exactly why Trump is in office. Racist, fascist, and all these other names,” Smith explained. “That’s what you do when you’re on the Left. Not paying attention to the fact that the vast majority of American people are tired of that.”
Democrats and their media allies have spent the last nine years calling Trump a fascist and a threat to democracy.
Voters have tuned out this fearmongering after nearly a decade.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris and her public relations team in the media called Trump fascist nonstop during the election and she suffered the worst defeat for a Democrat candidate since the 1980s.
Ocasio-Cortez is using the same failed playbook that Democrats have used since 2015 to attack Trump.
“When are you going to tell us a message we want to hear?” Smith demanded. “Trump didn’t win because of his genius campaign strategy—you lost because you alienated people. You all lost. You put him there and let me get real raw with this.”
Smith called out Ocasio-Cortez and Democrats for their obsession with transgender issues.
“It got so bad with Biden in office, that racism was thrown aside,” Smith continued. “Transgender issues don’t makeup one percent of this population. Black people make up nearly 14% of this population and for the vast majority of the last few years that issue has been more important than issues pertaining to black people, it seemed. That is just the truth.”
Ocasio-Cortez is rumored to be a potential Presidential candidate in 2028 for Democrats.
She is going to go nowhere politically if she sticks to the same failed playbook that hasn’t worked against Donald Trump for nearly a decade.
