Depp is a man of the people

Most actors could care less about their fan base. 

They just go to Hollywood to get rich and famous no matter what it takes. 

And fans are just a means to get rich and once they hit their goals they want nothing to do with the common folk. 

One of the outliers to the standard Hollywood actor who actually cares about their fans is Johnny Depp. 

Johnny Depp has made a career for himself that many would die for. 

The number of blockbusters Johnny Depp has acted in is endless. 

Platoon, Arizona Dream, Edward Scissorhands, Pirates of the Caribbean; you name the movie and Depp is in it. 

So you would think someone with such fame, fortune, and celebrity status as Johnny Depp would care less about his fans. 

But nothing could be further from the truth.

Few actors have gone to children’s cancer clinics like Depp has. 

He has even been to Disney numerous times to play the fan-favorite character of Jack Sparrow for those walking throughout the park. 

And his connection with his fans continued even through the hardest times of his life with his legal battles with his ex-wife Amber Heard.

But now he just went on social media to show his fans a new level of caring very few have ever seen in Hollywood.

We all deal with scammers every now and then. 

And some people really get hurt by scammers and lose nearly all of their money.

Now, Johnny Depp wants to make sure that you don’t lose a fortune to a scammer claiming to be himself. 

That’s not Captain Jack Sparrow calling me?

This past week Depp went on Instagram to warn his fans that scammers are actively trying to use his name and image to scam them. 

He told his 29 million followers on the social media platform, “Sadly, it has been brought to my attention that online scammers are intensifying their efforts to target my fans and supporters.”

He continued by adding, “As part of their tactics, they create multiple, deceptive social media and email accounts impersonating me and members of my team.”

And the main thing they are using to scam people is an AI generation of Depp’s voice.

He claimed in his post, “Today, AI can create the illusion of my face and voice. Scammers may look and sound just like the real me. But, neither I, nor my team, will ask you for money or your personal information.”

Scammers always use the name and imagery of actors and they never warn their fans.

But this is just proof that Depp has a level of affection and care for his fans that you never see from a mainstream actor.
