Donald Trump recently threatened to hit Canada with a 25% tariff unless its leaders took action to secure its border with America.

He also said Canada should become the 51st state if it can’t afford to exist without ripping America off.

And Justin Trudeau just responded to Donald Trump’s taunts with the last four words anyone ever expected to hear him say.

First elected in 2015, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is one of the most radical left-wing “leaders” in the world.

Trudeau made the Left’s environmental extremist agenda his top priority as Prime Minister.

Within months of taking office, he pledged $2.65 billion to help developing nations fight so-called climate change.

He promised to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 40% to 45% below 2005 levels by the year 2030.

Trudeau was also one of the biggest tyrants during the COVID pandemic.

He declared martial law and seized the bank accounts of Canadians who either participated in the Freedom Convoy or supported the trucker’s protest.

Of course, Trudeau’s radical left-wing policies have wreaked havoc on Canadians.

But President-elect Donald Trump’s recent threats were apparently too much for Trudeau to handle.

After his victory in the election, Trump threatened to place a 25% tariff on all goods from Canada unless Justin Trudeau secured its border with the United States.

Trump’s threat led Trudeau to take a trip to Mar-a-Lago to try and make things right with the President-elect.

But Trump told Trudeau that he liked the sound of Canada becoming the 51st state.

“It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada,” Trump said. “I look forward to seeing the Governor again soon so that we may continue our in-depth talks on Tariffs and Trade, the results of which will be truly spectacular for all!”

Trudeau’s trip enraged members of his government and led to some officials resigning in disgust.

“Trudeau has faced increased scrutiny ever since former finance minister Chrystia Freeland resigned in December, as she wrote a letter calling out Trudeau’s ‘political gimmicks’ in the face of Donald Trump’s tariff threats,” Yahoo News reported. “Calls for Trudeau to resign have grown among MPs of all parties, including the Liberals.”

The majority of his caucus also called on him to resign while he enjoyed a ski vacation with his family.

And in a shocking move on Monday, Trudeau held a press conference where he announced his resignation as Prime Minister.

“I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister, after the party selects its new leader,” Trudeau said at a news conference in Ottawa on Monday. “I care deeply about this country and I will always be motivated by what is in the best interests of Canadians, and the fact is, despite best efforts to work through it, parliament has been paralyzed for months after what has been the longest session of a minority parliament in Canadian history.”

Trudeau announced that parliament would be suspended until March 24 while the country selects a new leader.

“This country deserves a real choice in the next election, and it has become clear to me that if I’m having to fight internal battles, I cannot be the best option in that election,” Trudeau said.

He then took a moment to advocate far-Left policies while taking potshots at Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre.

“Stopping the fight against climate change doesn’t make sense,” Trudeau said. “Backing off on the values and strength and diversity that Canada has always, always, worked to pull itself together on, is not the right path for the country,” he continued. “Attacking journalists, the CBC institutions: that’s not what Canadians need at this moment – we need an ambitious, optimistic view of the future, and Pierre Poilievre is not offering that.”

Trudeau will remain on until the Liberal Party finds a new leader.

The federal election in Canada must take place by October 20.

Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk cheered the news in a post on X where he wrote that “2025 is looking good.”
