Trump’s Border Czar becomes top target for Democrats
Democrats are falling over themselves to start a fight with President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming Border Czar Tom Homan over the planned mass deportation of criminal illegal aliens.
Homan is a no-nonsense professional who started his career in law enforcement as a Border Patrol agent in 1984.
Denver Democrat Mayor Mike Johnston vowed that he would use the police to prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from coming into his city to apprehend illegal aliens.
He claimed that he was willing to create a “Tiananmen Square moment” to protect illegal aliens.
Johnston later walked back his remarks after widespread criticism that included the left-wing Denver paper.
Starting a fight with Homan is seen as an easy way for Democrat politicians to build some credibility with the far-left that dominates their Party.
Democrats are prepared to die on the hill of protecting illegal aliens from getting deported.
AOC ally becomes the latest to spar with Homan
Homan traveled to Chicago, Illinois, to speak to a local Republican group for their holiday party.
The Border Czar gave what’s become his stump speech for how he’s going to handle mass deportations next year.
He said that Democrat politicians in Illinois can either get on board with his efforts or they can “get the hell out of the way.”
That tough talk left a member of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) “Squad” fuming.
Representative Delia Ramirez (D-IL) is one of the “Squad’s” newest members and is looking to make a name for herself.
She fired back at Homan on social media for daring to speak in her Chicago Congressional District.
“Tom Homan, the next time you come to #IL03 — a district made stronger and more powerful by immigrants — you better be ready to meet the resistance,” Ramirez wrote on X. “You may think Chicago needs to get out of the way of Trump’s plans for mass deportation, but we plan to get ALL UP IN YOUR WAY.”
Homan had a simple message for Ramirez about her plans to stop him from deporting illegal aliens.
“Message received. Please review 18 USC 111 and also see 8 USC 1324 (iii),” Homan told Fox News. “Game on.”
He referenced the federal laws that make it a crime to obstruct a federal law enforcement officer and one that makes harboring or concealing an illegal alien from immigration authorities a crime.
“So, message received, please review this statute and that statute and game on,” Homan said.
Homan vowed that he was going to carry out his mission of ridding the streets of Chicago of violent illegal aliens.
“No one should be arguing against removing public safety threats, and I find it just incredible that she supports more criminals, especially in Chicago, for God’s sake,” Homan explained.
Tough talk from Democrats isn’t going to deter Tom Homan in his mission to deport illegal aliens.
