Veterans come out in support of Gabbard

President-elect Donald Trump nominated former Democrat Congresswoman turned America First champion Tulsi Gabbard to serve as his Director of National Intelligence (DNI). 

Gabbard is already facing heavy pushback to her nomination from the Deep State, Democrats, and RINOs like former Trump UN Ambassador Nikki Haley. 

She is someone who will be a reformer, overseeing the government’s 18 intelligence agencies and making sure they respect American’s God-given, natural rights enshrined in the Constitution.

That’s why she’s receiving such heavy pushback to her nomination. 

Gabbard is facing baseless attacks of being a traitor who works for Russia because she’s an outspoken opponent of endless foreign wars. 

Over 250 veterans signed a letter of support for her nomination, including retired General Michael Flynn, Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ), former acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller, and former Navy intelligence officer turned conservative commentator Jack Posobiec. 

The letter, entitled “American Veterans for Tulsi Gabbard,” praised the Trump nominee’s service in the National Guard and the Army Reserve. 

“President Donald Trump’s selection of Tulsi Gabbard reflects a profound recognition of her steadfast dedication to our nation and her unwavering commitment to safeguarding the American people. While most Americans know Tulsi as a fearless and principled Congresswoman who stood up to entrenched political systems, we know her as a fellow veteran—one whose worldview was forged through the crucible of serving in combat zones and a lifelong devotion to service,” the letter stated. 

Gabbard deployed to Iraq in 2004 as a member of the National Guard. 

“Because of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks, Tulsi answered the call of duty, enlisted in the Army, and stepped away from her position as a Hawaii State Representative when she volunteered to deploy to Iraq with her unit. Instead of using her political status to avoid deployment, Tulsi volunteered to serve in a medical unit in Iraq, directly facing the harsh realities, costs, and traumas of war,” the letter added. 

The Swamp comes for Tulsi Gabbard

Former Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is one of the Senate RINOs reportedly opposed to Gabbard’s nomination. 

Noted neocon hack and former Trump National Security Adviser John Bolton claimed that Gabbard has a “funhouse of mirrors” view of foreign policy – possibly the best endorsement she could receive.

Democrats have also falsely accused her of being a “Russian asset” who couldn’t get a security clearance, even though she’s still active duty and has a top-secret security clearance at this very moment in time.

“The U.S. intelligence community has identified her as having troubling relationships with America’s foes, and so my worry is that she couldn’t pass a background check,” U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) claimed. 

Trump told Meet the Press host Kristen Welker that he has complete confidence in Gabbard. 

“I do. I mean, she’s a very respected person,” Trump said. 

The Washington, D.C. “Swamp” wants to keep business as usual going in the Deep State, so Tulsi Gabbard is facing a vicious smear campaign designed to sink her nomination.
