A Republican Senator finally dropped the act and revealed her anti-Trump bona fides with this major refusal

Donald Trump has wasted no time in selecting those he wants to serve in his incoming administration.

Many of these selections require confirmation from the Senate, though, and some so-called “moderates” have already said that they are not prepared to cooperate.

And a Republican Senator finally dropped the act and revealed her anti-Trump bona fides with this major refusal.

Ernst refuses to reveal whether she’ll support this top nomination

President-elect Donald Trump’s decisive election victory shows that the American people want major changes in Washington, D.C.

And so far, Trump has wasted no time in selecting people to serve in his incoming administration who he believes will best answer the call of the American public.

However, the Constitution of the United States requires that the Senate confirm most of these selections, establishing a considerable roadblock for Donald Trump.

Even though Republicans hold a slight majority in the Senate, many establishment RINOs are not crazy about Donald Trump and the people he has chosen to serve in his administration.

For example, Donald Trump’s initial appointment for Attorney General, Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL), dropped out of consideration before his confirmation hearings and vote, knowing that he could not muster enough support in the Senate.

With Matt Gaetz out of the running for Attorney General, leftists and establishment RINOs have turned their focus on Donald Trump’s Department of Defense nominee, Pete Hegseth.

Despite having an impressive military record, Hegseth has come under fire for a string of unfounded allegations implicating the war hero in various inappropriate acts against women and alcoholism.

These allegations have upended Hegseth’s confirmation battle, with some RINOs refusing to admit whether they will vote to confirm him.

On Thursday, for example, Senator Joni Ernst (RINO-IA) refused to divulge her intentions regarding Hegseth’s confirmation battle while appearing on Fox News.

“I did have a very long, lengthy discussion with Pete yesterday,” she said. “I appreciate his service to the nation. I, too, am also a combat veteran. So we talked about a number of those issues and will continue with the vetting process,” the Senator from Iowa stated.

She added, “[I] think for a number of our senators, they want to make sure that any allegations have been cleared and that’s why we have to have a very thorough vetting process.  That’s why I was happy to sit down with Pete and have that conversation with him yesterday.”

Trump has a chance to see who stands with him

When the Senate reconvenes in January, voting to confirm Donald Trump’s appointment will sit at the top of the agenda.

These votes will allow Donald Trump and the American public to see who stands with them and who stands on the side of radical Democrats and never-Trumpers.

Even if Donald Trump does not get all of his preferred picks voted in, these votes will allow the Republican Party to see who might need to be primaried and who they can count on.
