Hunter Biden’s pardon sparks a fight on The View

President Joe Biden and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told the American people for months that Hunter Biden wouldn’t receive a pardon for his tax and gun crimes. 

Biden lied and issued a blanket pardon for his son that most people could see coming from a mile away. 

Many Democrats and journalists ripped the President for lying about issuing the pardon. 

The Hunter Biden pardon sparked a heated debate on ABC’s The View between co-host Whoopi Goldberg and Breakfast Club radio host Charlamagne Tha God.

Charlamagne admitted that all the heat that Biden was getting over the pardon was justified. 

“All of the criticism is valid because, you know, Democrats stand on this moral high ground all the time, and, you know, they act so self-righteous,” Charlamagne said. “The reality is, he didn’t have to say anything in regards to whether or not his son wanted to be pardoned.”

Charlamagne argued that Biden told the public he wouldn’t pardon his son because he wanted to make it look like Democrats respected the rule of law during the election. 

“He could have said, ‘hey, man, I’m not focused on that right now.’ But since they were calling Trump a threat to democracy and they were saying nobody is above the law but they were speaking about him, that’s what they were running on, so when he kept saying things like, ah, you know, nobody is above the law, I respect the jury’s decision in regards to my son, he didn’t believe that, but he didn’t have to volunteer that lie to begin with,” Charlamagne explained. 

Goldberg previously argued that Biden didn’t lie about pardoning his son. 

She interjected to make this absurd claim again. 

“You don’t know that it was a lie. We don’t know why he changed his mind,” Goldberg claimed. 

Democrat radio host shames Whoopi Goldberg for defending Hunter Biden’s pardon

Charlamagne scoffed at the idea that Biden suddenly changed his mind about the pardon. 

“I’m going to tell you what I think,” Goldberg ranted. “I think he changed his mind because he got sick of watching everybody else get over. And this is just my feeling, because at some point you get to the place where you just go, so I’m just going to follow the straight and narrow always, because that’s what’s expected of Democrats.”

The radio host pointed out that it was Democrats who made it a point to claim the moral high ground on defending the rule of law. 

He accused political partisans of acting like sports fans where their team can do no wrong. 

“I don’t think people are flipping out with Joe,” Charlamagne explained. “I think Democrats are because Democrats believe that they don’t represent what he’s currently representing, but that’s just not true. That’s why I say they stand on this moral high ground that simply does not exist and I think this is also the problem when we pick sides, right? We turned political parties into teams.”

Goldberg claimed this wasn’t true and that Democrats had diverse viewpoints. 

“Why can’t you say when Democrats are wrong?” Charlamagne asked. 

She claimed she would say when Democrats were wrong but Biden wasn’t wrong in this case. 

“Well, that’s ridiculous,” Charlamagne exclaimed. 

Whoopi Goldberg will defend whatever Democrats do no matter how ridiculous.
